Don't worry about the single one star review... that user has not reviewed any other product nor even read the description of this one before buying it.

I ordered this to replace a Wahl trimmer that didn't have the strength to cut my beard. This has no problems at all trimming thick hair. And I like trimmers that use AA batteries as I can order high-quality rechargable ones that charge up much faster than any rechargable trimmer. I'm using Panasonic Infinium batteries and a Nitecore Intellicharge i2 charger.

It comes with four combs in total: an adjustable one if you maintain a longer haired beard, and three short fixed ones that are perfect for the moustache and eyebrow areas.

The three year guarantee on this shows Babyliss are confidenty it will last. £10 is a great price for a solid budget trimmer like this.

Great example of you get what you pay for.

I had an electric rechargeable auto head BaByliss trimmer before and it was a delight. The battery packed in a week after the 1 year warranty was up and decided I didn't want to spend £70 a year on a trimmer so thought I'd give this cheaper one a go as it had fairly decent reviews.

I have quite thick hair and all I wanted to use this for was a 1.5mm trim on my "designer stubble beard" and blend it into my sideburns with maybe a 2.5mm.

The base that it comes with is decent enough for storing the cleaner and the trimmer, the rest don't seem like they belong. Changing the heads is easy enough but the actual trimmer does feel very cheap. The performance of the trimmer is not great at all.

The 1.5mm was no way a 1.5mm smooth cut all over. There were patches with longer hair and no matter how much I went over my beard, it was cutting more hair with every pass so god knows how many passes you need to get an even cut. My beard probably kept growing back in the time it took me to do a pass on one side which could explain why I could never get an even cut with this.

I will say, however, my hair is as thick as superman's and the blades did not catch once.

The BaByliss I had before (I think it was the i-stubble) would take me 2 mins top for an even cut all over, this machine took me around about 15 mins... after which the supplied batteries went flat and required changing.

I regret spending even a tenner on this as I will look to purchase a different one and bin this when I get a new one.

I prefered my previous trimmer (Remington MB320C Barba Beard Trimmer) because it lasted quite a long between charges and it has a sliding trim length function (guard).

This trimmer works well enough although it uses up my rechargeable batteries quite quick (they are 2450mAh Duracells so good batteries).

Also, you need to manually change between guards which, while not a major issue, is not as handy as the integrated sliding design on the Remington.

But this one is much cheaper!

This is great, cheap and cheerful. Has 5 different grades, and 3 other attachments for side burns. Comes with batteries which is always great. Would 100% recommend!

Incredible value for money and using rechargeable AA batteries just as easy to use as the much more expensive wire free models.

I like this product due to its lack of wiring and the number of cutting lengths. It can also be used on chest and back rugs if you don't much care for the sasquatch look.

For a tenner it is faultless. Gives exactly the trim I'm looking for. It's lightweight, easy to handle. I use rechargeable batteries which last for about ten trims.

For the money it is a good purchase. I'd recommend it as a quality purchase that doesn't hit you in the wallet.

Great little trimmer, exactly what I was looking for to keep a decent amount of stubble without it being messy, think it would also be good for precision beard styling as well. for the price, the product is great, would recommend.
