This new 3 CD slim line set brings together 3 classic Dave Brubeck albums of the 1950s. The earliest dating from 1954 comprises a mix of standards and Brubeck originals performed in a quartet setting and originally released on the Columbia label. He flies on innovative interpretations of "Jeepers Creepers" and "Brother, Can You Spare a Dime?". Next up and from 1956 is an album of 9 Brubeck compositions played by him alone. Finally, from 1959 comes a further 7 self penned compositions but this time back with the quartet. Overall 3 reasons why Dave Brubeck has his own unique style presented in a handy set and in excellent quality transfers. The liner notes are by Drew Heatley and the colourful art work distinctively 1950s in appearance. Price wise a real deal.

This album was one of my Dad's favourites – we actually played it at his funeral and whenever, I hear it, it makes me think of him. I like to think he is watching over me. However, I hadn't heard many other Brubeck tracks and I loved them all. This CD was fantastic value – three CDS. It arrived promptly and was in good nick. I will order from them again.

I remember the impact 'Take Five' made on me in the very early 60's. It was a truly groundbreaking piece of jazz. To hear it again now reminds me of why it had such an impact. Dave Brubeck plays with genius, not to mention the rest of his quartet. A brilliant buy and delivered swiftly.

Brubeck's music was my introduction to jazz by a fellow schoolboy, more years ago than I care to remember. Excellent recording brining back many, many happy memories.

Bought this as a present for a young jazz lover. Take Five is one of my favourites and I wanted to pass this on to a younger generation
