A good film; plenty of laughs. Definitely not as good as the first film though! I would say it was most suited to a young age group.

Arrived before delivery date and was well protected. Absolutely love this film, can now watch it any time. If you have ever had a puppy, it should bring back memories (well it did for me).

This film was absolutely nothing like the other popular marley & Me film, it is really more suitable to a toddler or very young child as it didn't even entertain my 7 year old nephew who loved the other film. My Grandfather also watched this film after being so taken with the other film and the book to that but he said it was just plain trash.
A BIG waste of money and very over priced too!
Our advice don't buy it!

Was looking forward to watching this after seeing Marley and Me but for me it was totally ruined by having a "talking dog". Doesn't give that real emotional attachment you feel when watching Marley and Me. I switched it off after fifteen minutes as it seemed more like a film for very young children rather than a family film.

I am typing this review having watched this film on the television.

This was a good story line in general - a boy is dog sitting Marley and to prove to his mother that he is responsible enough to have his own dog, he trains Marley and two other puppies to enter an agility course competition, however what really let this film down was that all the dogs were talking and there were some really stupid scenes (all stupid scenes were to do with the talking dogs).

If the film makers had only not given the puppies voices and hadn't bothered with the really stupid scenes this would have been a lovely film, as it is, I deffinantly will not bother to waste my money on this film.

Saying that however if you have young children they would probably really enjoy this film, talking puppies and all!

NOTHING compared to the original movie, this was just silly and the leadin actor was annoying of how childish he was compared to his age, also unrealistic and I just couldn't even watch until the end!

I read the book of Marley & Me so when the first Marley DVD came out I was a little disappointed on how much of his life was missing. I was so pleased when they released this DVD as it gives you more of the puppy years of Marley.

Very disappointed in this prequel which had no real links to 'Marley and Me' and was a very poorly realised film.

Start watching the original.
Eject the DVD (or blu ray) the moment Marley stops being a puppy.
Take a note of the running time.
Insert this cheap embarrassing cash in sequel/prequel/side-quel.
Try to work out and explain to your children why Marley can now talk.
Try to watch it.
When done, take a moment to pat yourself on the back.
Then insert DVD into fire place.
Ignite fire.
Return to the original Marley and Me.
Insert and start from the moment of previous ejection.
Cry at the end.
Now you know the entire epic 3 hour plus story of Marley!
From promising beginnings, to the middle (this 'film'-aimed at poor innocent 5 year olds)
to the distressing ending that will scar young children for life!
Marley would be spinning in his grave.

Another great film the children loved it, it was so funny and had us all laughing at Marleys behaviour. We have watched it several times and love it!!
