I bought this with the intention of mounting my HTC Sensation XE in my Windscreen so I could use it to video whilst on the move. I was disappointed however when I discovered that part of the mount (the top slide clip) obstructs the camera lens preventing this. Also be aware that the fit of the XE in the cradle is quite slack, to the point that the phone moves around slightly which causes the case to sometimes press the power button.

The actual suction mount is rock solid with good a good range of adjustment. All-in-all not a bad mount for the price so long as you are aware of its shortcomings..

This has just arrived, so I haven't tested it in the car yet. However, it seems pretty well built, and the suction pad works well on my work desk, so I assume it'll work well on my windscreen too!

The only problem with this (and it's more of a warning actually depending on what you plan to use the device for) is that the clip that holds the phone in obscures the camera. The item does NOT look like the picture on Amazon!

I bought this so I could use an augmented reality driving aid in the car - it relies on using the camera to give various information about traffic, including braking distances etc. Using the holder as it arrives, the camera is partially obscured.

However, it is possible to detach the retaining clip, then slide it back on to the guide in a different position. It doesn't snap firmly into place, but I think it's a good enough interference fit that the phone will be secure.

To be fair to the manufacturers, you wouldn't expect people to be using the camera while driving. So this isn't a criticism of the phone holder, just a warning to potential buyers. I expect all other holders would have the same problem, and at least with this one you can physically move the clip.

(Update: if you do move the clip, then the headphone socket is obscured. So if you also want to use the phone to feed your car stereo, be aware: you can't do both at once!)

Charger seems to work great. However the lever mechanism doesn't create enough suction, making it impossible to stick it to the car window or any other surface for that matter. Otherwiise a good fit for htc sensation and I sturdy holder.just wish it worked.

Update- have received a replacement and it works perfectly. Great customer service and communication. Great product. Rating changed from 1 star to 5.

This sticks firmly and the phone is held in well as it clicks in place. The 1st charger I recieved was a mini usb which did not fit my phone but I emailed in and it was replaced with no fuss in just a couple of days. Rotates and tilts so you can get the best angle for sat nav etc.

Poor suction which would not take weight of the phone causing the whole unit and phone to fall to the floor during journeys.
I bought a second from another supplier which was even worse, not gripping at all.

The "Made to Measure" fit to the HTC Sensation is disappointingly slack - it certainly couldn't be described as a snug fit. Also unfortunately for my intended application, the spring retaining clip obstructs the camera. I was able to overcome this problem by moving the clip slightly off-centre where it is no longer held securely in place by a plastic lug, but tight enough fit that it's unlikely to go anywhere.

The lead length on the charger will only reach a windscreen mounted phone if your power socket is mounted high up on the dash board, which doesn't tend to be the case in most modern cars.

The service was excellent, fast and well packed, however an oversight when it came to accessing the volume control control on the left top of the phone. The case blocks this and in certain circumstances can unknowingly adjust the volume. I have recently purchased a second cradle due to the cradle being broken by a clumsy oaf (nothing to do with the design) and the cradle has a reduced left hand side to access the volume control. The charger is perfectly fine, although since the purchase, the inner wires are now protruding from the outer sleeve as the cradle doesn't have a grommet to secure the cradle,

Unit is solid and holds phone securely. Holds to car window well. Charging lead fits and connects without problem to car. Only slight down sides are I) angle bracket loosens slightly of own accord .... Not enough to be real problem though ii) unit is a little bulky esp on occasions when phone is not being used .... As you do tend to leave it on screen regardless. Overall though fulfills role well and is good quality.

Great looking phone holder, but unfortunately not designed to allow camera use while the phone is in it. I got it to try out an app on my Sensation XE that uses the camera while driving to spot potential hazards in the road, but the top bracket on the holder blocks the lens so is sadly no use in this circumstance. Great for any other use I would say though! No problems returning, and a swift refund was received.

Ordered the item on Sunday, arrived on Tuesday very happy with the cradle its the best fit by far of any of the others I have looked at. The wrong charger was sent my mistake, a quick email later a very quick appology and a replacement was sent out immediatley. Infact I am so happy I am about to buy the same cradle again for my wifes car replacing the rubish one I purchased from another retailer.
