I am always dubious of buying batteries from manufactures I have no experience with. A lot of batteries are of low quality and don't work as well as originals even if they are supposed to be better. This is not the case with this Anker battery.

The look and feel of a battery isn't something that you usually worry about but this Anker battery is solid and the labels covering the cell are on firmly - basically it doesn't feel cheap or that corners were cut. I have noticed the battery is slightly bigger than the standard Samsung battery for the Galaxy S II but it still works perfectly with all accessories and the back cover of the phone still fits (albeit more snugly).

The performance of the battery was surprising for the price. An official Samsung battery for the phone costs three times as much as this battery but is outperformed. I noticed modest gains in battery life - 1 hour on standby, 30 minutes of music and about 20 minutes on a call but these are real world gains, not promises. One surprising thing I noticed was how cool the battery ran. If you have used the Galaxy S II heavily you will have noticed the heat of the battery and the area around the camera. This battery does not get as hot as the standard battery under heavy use which is a surprising welcome.

The Anker battery works superbly as a replacement for the original or as an extended battery. Basically this battery is cheap, last longer than the standard battery, runs cooler and is solidly built. I can't think of any reasons why you should not purchase this for the Galaxy S II.

I'm a little dubious about using batteries that are are supplied by other manufacturers as they are usually very cheap and poorly made.

However the Anker battery blew all my misconceptions out the water. The first thing you notice how well made it is, and looks like a high quality product and not like it's cheap counterparts.

I really haven't had problems with the original Samsung Galaxy S2 battery however being a mid to heavy user I needed a battery with extra capacity just to be on the safe side.

First of all the Anker battery fits very well and other owners will be pleased to know that it does not interfere with the cases that you use. The back cover of the Samsung Galaxy S2 fits as usual, enabling users to fit their case with no issues, unlike the official Samsung Galaxy S2 extended battery which costs three times as much!

Peformance wise, the battery certainly delivers, I put it through it's paces with heavier than usual 3G browsing and playing MP3's encoded at a high bit rate of 320 kps. I am pleased to say that from switching the phone on from 0600 hours and getting home at 2000 hours there was 53% battery left, which is extremely impressive!

For those looking for a replacement battery or even a higher capacity battery look no further than the Anker battery for the price and the performance it certainly delivers!

Initially I was a little disappointed with this battery and found that the original Samsung battery lasted longer. However, now, having conditioned the battery and fully discharged it a few times followed by a few good long charges I have to say that I was wrong. Now I would agree with other reviewers who rate this battery highly. I'm getting slightly more life out of a full charge than I'd get with the original.

I bought this battery with little expectations, but wow, it's a huge improvement over the stock battery that the Samsung Galaxy S2 comes with! No longer do I run out of juice after 10hrs - Instead, I get a full day's use, and without having to worry about killing apps all the time. The stock battery is now my back-up battery; this is a great main battery.

At first I thought I was seeing a placebo effect But I was wrong!

It does indeed improve after a few charges and you do get an extra hour worth of charge better than the stock battery.

I find myself wondering if those getting poor service from this have actually gone through the recommended 4-5 charge-discharge cycles, because it's worked fine for me after doing that. Definitely longer life than the original Samsung battery. My phone still struggles to get through the day on a single charge - that's mainly why I bought a second battery - but that's broadly what I've come to expect of a smartphone. Haven't you?

It seems to be thrue...... more power .... and the same size ....prize ist hot.
Compared to the Original 2000mah-Akku with bigger backside ist that the better choice.
I am now at near 24 hours bei standard-use. the original goes only 15-17 hours at the same using.

I had the original battery that was supplied with my Galaxy phone which I have had for about 16 months. The battery was getting run down in about 12 hours every day and needed to be charged to last the day.
I shopped about on the internet looking for a replacement battery and this one stood out with very positive reviews and an increase in power for a very keen price - so I ordered one.

The battery arrived in a few days in some quite slick packaging and I promptly put it my phone which it fitted with no problem and put on charge overnight.

I have now had the battery in service for a few weeks and the increase in performance is noticeable and it lasts the day comfortably despite quite frequent internet usage.

All in all a very good purchase and I would happily recommend to others.

I desperately needed a new battery since my original one got faulty. This battery perfectly does the job and even lasts slightly longer then my original one did. I'm even planning on getting a couple more spares. Overall I am very pleased with this product and would definitely recommend to anyone needing a new or spare battery.

I have asked for a full refund for this fault battery it has not only caused me inconvenience but has caused me to lose out on an important business phone call as my handset suddenly switched off due to the fault in battery. Dont Buy
