4.0 out of 5 stars Trente Percenter
Really worthwhile buy. Not that keen on Trentemoller's albums but love this compilation. The opening 15 mins. are spine tingling and although the rest of the album is not quite so awe inspiring, it is still very good. The best Late Night Tales i've heard yet.

5.0 out of 5 stars A Danish Tale, 4 Jan. 2013
Having heard Trentmoller's work (the Last Resort being a sublime piece of Electronic music in the past 10 years), its interesting to see what influences such an artist.

I think this is one of the best Latenightales compilations and definately one on the list to buy.

If you do like this check out his Harbour Boat Trips: Copenhagen compilation. It is well worth a listen http://www.amazon.co.uk/Copenhagen-Trentem%C3%B8ller-Various-Artists-Harbour/dp/B0024RICTS/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1357295597&sr=8-1

5.0 out of 5 stars Dark, atmospheric and groovy!, 15 Feb. 2012

Wow, what a compliation. The first half of this ablum is undoubtably the strongest, offering more atmosphere and dark tones. Probably the best album of 2011 (although that is open to personal taste).

The stand out tracks (again, personal taste) would be - This mortal coil (waves become wings), Kid congo and the pink monkey birds (La lliarona), Chimes and bells (the mole), Low (thats how you sing)amazing grace the Shangri - la's (walking in the sand), Blue hotel, Nice cave and Warren Ellis (the proposition ~#1). Stunning album.

5.0 out of 5 stars Bought this as I love the Late Night series, 30 Oct. 2014

Bought this as I love the Late Night series, rather than Trentemøller.
After a moody atmospheric start the album builds in tempo to what for me is the highlight: the 3 tracks by Jacqueline Taieb/W. Ward then Darkness falls, before slipping back into navel gazing introspection. Nothing too obvious in the track selection - well, maybe Venus in Furs, but surely you can never hear that too much - and the mixing/running order flows really well. Will go down well with the herb and the grain...
