Well made but too large
on 26 October 2011
I used to keep sea salt and ground black pepper for seasoning in two very small glass Bodum spice jars but managed to drop one and break it. The Raymond Blanc acacia seasoning box looked good and I thought it would make a good replacement. I assumed it would be about 4" (10cm) in diameter but it is in fact 6" (15cm) in diameter which, to my eyes, makes it far too large. I like to use relatively freshly ground pepper and the quantities I normally keep for use is just too little in a box of this size. There is nothing wrong with the quality of the box. It is well made and looks good but had I seen it directly or had there been a size in the product description, I would probably not have bought it.
