Bought this when on offer in Warehouse Deals (= £1.74 a pack), reading reviews I was going to order 6 x 6 packs but after reading some reviews that said it was tasteless, no strength etc. opted to buy 3 x 6 packs, regretting this now as we are on the penultimate pack and have enjoyed this coffee.

Yes the first pot seemed less strength than we were used to so instead of 7 we used 8 scoops (as we do some times with different coffees) per pot and have enjoyed this coffee, it has a lovely full bodied rounded taste (especially with the extra scoop)with no odd back taste like some coffees can have, I have mine black hubby has his white, both with no sugar, so suits which ever way you prefer to drink your coffee.

Would I pay full price for it (around the £3.50 mark) yes I would but these days always shop around for the offers and try to pay a lot less than £3 a bag be it supermarket offers, Amazon Subscribe and Save or Warehouse Deals.

What people have to bear in mind with all foods and drinks we each have different palates and therefore what is good for one is not so good for another so try and see what suits you rather than rely on reviews of a few (unless everyone says avoid). So don't take my word try for yourself (maybe buy one bag) and see if it is a coffee you enjoy.

Please ignore the BS from the unfairly negative reviews here.

I make different types of coffees to suit the need, but this is my favorite for straight forward filter machines. My family has been drinking it for years, have tried other brands and indeed other varieties from Taylors but this is the best IMHO. Nice smooth and rich with just the right amount of strength. Best drunk white i reckon, either milk or creamer etc. Being pre-ground it is best out of a freshly opened pack and should be consumed quickly, otherwise you will notice a deterioration in taste. Keep in airtight jar (with valve, ILLY tins are good) and in the fridge.

For bean to cup machines try Melitta or Sainsbury's own brand beans. Found both very good at reasonable price

Illy is often regarded as the best mainstream brand of ground coffee, but to be honest I can't tell the difference between Illy and Taylors Rich Italian, and neither can my partner, who happens to be Italian (unfortunately he's not rich, though). Delicious, smooth, and with a pleasant aftertaste (the coffee, not my partner), it's certainly better value than its more famous rival, but absolutely equal in quality.

I bought this for my fiance as a way to cheer him up whilst he is deployed. He said the coffee tastes amazing, and it will keep him going for a few months! It is the cheapest on line, from a lovely brand, and tastes expensive. I have ordered some for myself! Also, very fast and efficient delivery. Very happy with this product

A really delicious coffee that is impossible to only have one cup of, seems to taste best when prepared in glass peculator, or surprisingly a small tea pot with an adequate filter allowing the flavour to disperse without anything of the ground coffee to escape. The key is not allowing the coffee to be scorched and waiting after the boil a minute before combining with the coffee.
If you love your flavours like me then you will surely want to try this After dark coffee here: http://amzn.to/1LaNk2l
It gives a rich chocolatey flavour which makes it a great moreish evening coffee.

From the moment you first smell it, you know this is going to be a good coffee. The flavour is just as rich as the aroma with a warm nutty taste. This is my coffee of choice and two cups on a morning set me up great for the day. Highly recommended!!

A wonderfully rich, deep coffee that tastes even better when allowed to brew for ten minutes. I go through tons of the stuff and mix it with milder coffees for a smoother brew later in the day. Cupboard staple.
