I tried this as it seemed a good idea based on the description.
Not so in my experience, and I was a butcher for a good few years after I left school and used rusk to make sausages.
It is expensive and it is easier to use your own breadcrumbs as I have been doing for the past 20 years, although the supplier will tell you different. The sausages tasted dreadful and like sawdust.
