5.0 out of 5 stars Went straight in to my 2009 iMac and made a huge difference in speed.
After installing Mavericks things started to get a lot slower. Adding this RAM has made a huge difference and it was an easy install - just three screws.

works perfect in my late 2008 macbook a1278. Together with a SSD hard drive my mac feels like new. start up time and performance is close to that of a brand new mac.

I bought this to upgrade a 4GB Mac Mini mid 2010 to 8GB. Works fine and easy to install on the Mac Mini.

5.0 out of 5 stars Made my MacPro fly, 9 Jan 2012
This review is from: Corsair CMSA8GX3M2A1066C7 Apple Mac 8GB (2x4GB) DDR3 1066Mhz CL7 Apple Certified SODIMM Kit (Personal Computers)
I have a mid 2010 MacBook Pro with Lion and adding the extra 4GB really made the difference.
Now I have a smooth experience even when lot's of apps are open. Gaming took another dimension, Starcraft 2 stop slowing down when there's lot of action on screen.
All in all a must have for Mac owners with a 4Gb rig.

5.0 out of 5 stars Fantastic, made my Unibody Macbok late 2008 feel like new., 22 July 2013

Works perfectly with my late 2008 Alu-Unibody Macbook.

Perfect for running Parallels Desktop or VMware Fusion. Now I can actually have 3gb (max allowable to 32-bit Windows 7) as my boot camp virtual machine and still have plenty to spare for my foreground Mac apps.

No more spinning wheels! and games run smoother than when i had a 4gb ram.

Installation is quick and simple and requires only a small phillips screw driver.
I coupled this with a Samsung 1tb 2.5' 5400rpm HDD. Now my 5 year old Macbook performs like a beast.

Plug and play, very easy to put and until now works great. I have a late 2008 Macbook, the first in aluminum unibody and I had only 4Gb of RAM. It was pretty slow and I couldn't stand it anymore. Now, it works perfect with all the applications and the daily programs that I use. Great product and of course great Amazon experience.

5.0 out of 5 stars High Quality Mac Ram, 3 May 2012

This review is from: Corsair CMSA8GX3M2A1066C7 Apple Mac 8GB (2x4GB) DDR3 1066Mhz CL7 Apple Certified SODIMM Kit (Personal Computers)
Very high quality ram modules, as expected from a well known brand such as Corsair. Extremely easy to install, open MacBook/MBP, remove old ram modules, which are Hynix ones, and insert the new one by one making sure it is locked in place. Booted up, everything normal, except everything feels snappier and faster. Amazingly cheap for 8GB compaired to Apple stores. Shipping was very fast.

Ram modules were pretty hard to get out of packaging so make sure you snap them out the plastic holders very carefully, they feal quality.

I chose this Corsair ram not only because it is cheaper than other Mac Memory, but because it uses Corsair's own chipsets. It is very important to pay attention to the brand, as well as the flash memory chipsets it uses, the Mushkin one I wanted to get, observed closely on the picture and saw it had hynix chipset modules, which I gladly refused. I'd get this one over any other just to be safe ensured in quality, performance and price ratio. Also, not every mac supports 8GB of ram, it depends on your motherboard and CPU platform model do your research/homework first before buying,

<-- this applies to all parts, and is the golden rule to hardware part upgrading. For more info, do a google search to see if your specific mac model will support 8gb max or not
