Without knowing the full contents of this collection I took a gamble, as the price was under £9. I've enjoyed over half the stuff here, so I would consider it very good value for money. I was a teen for most of the 70s, so I was looking for a nostalgic dip into the past. The collection covers a fairly varied spectrum of tastes, with some hits sounding very familiar - some less so (which I personally welcome). I must confess that the only way I've heard most of these tracks down the years is via jukeboxes in raucous pubs or tinny radios, but the sound quality appears pretty decent to my untrained ear. This collection evoked some great memories for me..... Ah, those were the days!

A fantastic mix of all the hits from the 70's. Definately one of the best available to download from Amazon.

...which is what I bought it for. Even if you only like a third of the tracks it is worth getting for these. Check the content carefully to see if it is what you want :-)!

I brought this as i grew up in the 70's. It more than boasts good music but the memories that go with the songs are priceless.. Playing this just reminds you of little things long since forgotten (like records we heard these songs on in the first place.... Enough said.. 10/10 for me.........

Brought for my husband. Brilliant album - only one or two tracks we don't remember. A sing-a-long in the car where no-one else can hear you kind of album. Would happily recommend to any child of the seventies.

Bought this on the spur of the moment and although there are some really good tracks on it a lot are not impressive. Still I suppose every track cant be memorable.

This CD was recommended to me by a friend, so I decided to buy it. After listening to it, I have to say I was a bit disappointed. There are some really good songs on here, some of which are not easy to find on other albums of this type, but there are also a fair few poor songs that I was not familiar with too. I found myself skipping quite a few songs, which is always an indication of a not very good album. I also noticed that the volume level on the CD fluctuated quite noticeably and I had to keep adjusting the volume through the whole album, which was annoying. So, I would only suggest that you buy this CD if you are a 1970s completist, or if you prefer the more obscure kind of songs from the 1970s. Three stars from me, for this disappointing album.
