Even if you already own some of these on vinyl from the 1970's and 1980's, buying this double album from Trojan is a no-brainer. Means you don't have to bother converting your vinyl to MP3 or other digital format and fills gaps in your collection. A brilliant set of dubs to carry around with you on your personal music player and unbeatable at the price.

This collection at under £4 is a mega steal! Out of 40 tracks, I fell completely in love with more than half of them. Yet I still like the rest of them. The difference being, those I love most gets repeated several times! In the past, I have had albums, especially reggae where one song on the album also apperas on the same album in dub version.

What I really loved about the collection is the different sounds unique per song that makes them truly dub! It is incredible really how these songs were done! The bass is emphasized, so with a good Home Theater, it will really hit you! Some songs have serious reverbs, and echos, that add some sort of oh ... what's the word ... ambience, to songs.

With this one, you cannot go wrong!

I really did not understand much why they call the version dub, but noticed that, the dub version is stripped of vocals, but may have short vocals here and there. I really loved these dub versions. After buying bthis one, I now see that actually dub songs do not nornmally have vocals and confirmed thast by a short search online. It turns out to be a style on its own. Good to finally know that dub is a subgenre (originating from reggae)
