5.0 out of 5 stars A little gem
This is a fantastic little film, about a super-shy Northern girl (Jane Horrocks) who hides her secret talent - an amazing singing voice - from her mother until one fateful day she is 'discovered' by the ultra-slimy Michael Caine, the flash man-about-town who sweeps Little Voice's mother off her feet but ultimately turns out not to be very nice after all. There are...

Two men look set to change all that: There's the shy telephone engineer who notices LV and wants to get to know her better. There is also her...

1.0 out of 5 stars Pathetic!, 22 Mar 2011

I was forced to watch this sorry excuse for a film over the weekend by my girlfriend because apparently it was her turn to pick the film we watched. I still can't believe she made me sit through this for an hour and a half. Even me sighing every two minutes and looking at my watch wasn't a big enough hint for her to turn this lump of excrement off. Rant over... :D

Now on with my review:

The film is about an autistic girl, called LV, who keeps herself locked away in her room 24/7. Autistic girl's only 'companions' are the music LP's her dad left her when he died. Day in day out she listens to the same few songs over and over and over, bored yet? I was. LV lives with her abusive/promiscuous/alcoholic mother, depressed yet? I was. Eventually, LV's mother and her sleazy boyfriend find out that LV is a 'talented' singer and decide to put her on stage to make some cash. Predictably, LV goes mental on stage... then the film drags on another half an hour... blah blah blah... LV falls in love with some weird loner who works for BT... the end.

All in all the worst film I've watched in a longtime. God, even writing a review about this film is boring...
