2.0 out of 5 stars average book
Having read quite a few hooligan books this rates as average as 'the brick' seems to love himself a little too much which makes you suspicious as to the credibility of his stories. His non football stories are actually more interesting(like him working on doors etc).He also seems to still hold a few grudges as hes constantly bitching about ppl instead of getting on with...

1.0 out of 5 stars Waste of Money, 22 Nov. 2011
This review is from: The Brick (Kindle Edition)
Purchased this as i am origionally from there. What a waste of a read. Yes it was funny in places but if that is the level of intelligence in Middlesborough then heaven help us. I cannot understand why this guy is so passionate about violence. He seems to thrive on peoples missery [caused by his mindless violence]. Nothing to be proud of there old son. Neanderthal man still lives.

1.0 out of 5 stars Terrible Book, 21 Jun. 2012
This review is from: The Brick (Kindle Edition)
An awful book......how anyone can boast & brag & find this mindless violence amusing is a disgrace.....It is people like "The Brick" who give the real football supporters a bad name......Him & his so called friends have no interest in the game whatsoever.......I found the book so disturbing I couldn't finish it...only place for it is in the bin....should never have been allowed to be published in the first place!!!!

1.0 out of 5 stars Should be Titled 'Fairytales', 17 Feb. 2012
This review is from: The Brick (Kindle Edition)
This guy seems to be in love with himself, with his head stuck firmly up his own backside.
I honestly believe that some of his tales are all in the mind.
Best avoided.

1.0 out of 5 stars The Brick, 9 Feb. 2012

I am a life long Middlesbrough supporter since 1967 when i was 7 yrs old. I travelled home and away during the late 70's and 80's and some of these encounters have beenblown up. Also he was not top dog and just liked to think he was. He is so up himself in the book which is how him and his brothers were.

But don't be fooled he was not the lovable rogue he attempts to be in the book, he was a pain in the rear yob who along with others had no interest in the club and just succeeded in making the town and club appear worst than we are.

1.0 out of 5 stars Gutter Writing, 21 Dec. 2011
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
This review is from: The Brick (Kindle Edition)
I bought this to look into the World of thugs to try to grasp how they do what they do. But this book is very poorly written indeed, the subject is vastly overated as is the Brick. Would not recommend this to anyone best left on the shelf.

A good read and gets into the mind of a real football Hooligan, not a cardboard cut out by any means.
