Unfortunately Naturediet have changed their production methods and the result is that the seals are no longer tight and pulled down on the packs making it impossible to tell if the contents is starting to swell due to exposure to air and bacteria or not. They supposedly did this because some customers complained that the seals were hard to remove. End users could have used a knife to cut open the pack if they had difficulty using their hands.

I will not risk my dogs Health with these potentially dangerous new packs, the one way we could tell packs were blown has now been removed. This change to the packing is a stupid move by NatureDiet. What on earth were they thinking! A number of Amazon customer have complained about rancid content and other suppliers have received complaints too. I received a Rancid pack last week as well but not from Amazon I should point out. The new production method is flawed unfortunately. What a shame, another good product spoilt by trying to fix something that wasn't broken to begin with!

Arrived on time. The dogs love this meat, they love the lamb, unfortunatlely half the pack has blown after
a few days. I tried to find out how to complain but failed, so I am doing it this way, I can't sent them back
As the smell is vile. I saw another review stating the same complaint.

I used this product for over a year with no problems. Then I had a pack which were rancid mouldy. I have no sense of smell and didn't realise I'd been feeding my dog gone off food for a few days until I opened one which was very obviously mouldy and got my partner to check the rest! I wondered why her poo had gone so runny!

When I rang nature diet they showed little to no interest. The first lady even suggested that the bacteria "couldn't do much harm as the product was natural" I nearly passed out from laughing! Probably the most dense argument I've ever heard.

I complained via email and got a vaguely better response and was promised a free case by naturediet, which then never arrived!!!!!!

Read other review sites. This isn't an isolated incident. Neither is nature diets lack of interest. I'd never buy anything from them again!

The batch I received of this lamb absolutely stinks and smells rancid. I also bought the chicken and rice Nature Diet which was in perfect condition. My dogs were sick after eating this lamb Nature Diet. I contacted Nature Diet and they really did not want to know. I sent them 2 packs for analysis and they said that the report came back and the food is 'within the guidelines' and that, because their food is additive and preservative-free, that the food can vary in smell. Sorry, but this meat is OFF and stinks and I think inferior meat has been used. I have had to throw it all in the bin. To add insult to injury, Nature Diet told me to get in touch with Amazon and ask for a refund as they said they had not supplied Amazon with this food. I told them that this is NOT Amazon's fault and I will certainly not ask Amazon for a refund. So in the end, I told Nature Diet that I would never buy their food again and they have lost a good customer. If you have a dodgy batch you will know - the smell hits you as you open the top film. Be warned that your dogs may be sick.

Same problem as other people 3 of the 18 packs were blown up and we're revolting. Not had a problem with other flavours but will not buy lamb again.

My 2 year old lab grew up on this stuff. It used to be excellent.

Then there was no production for several months with no explanation on the manufacturers website or anywhere which I found most irresponsible....

Now it's back, but they've gone and changed the packaging and formula. The packaging is still hard to open but one can overcome that.
However, the product is now really gooey and a lot of it sticks in the container. My dog still loves the stuff as they obviously put the right smell inside, but now he farts a lot (really smelly ones).

Time to move away from this manufacturer. They had a good product, but have ruined it and have demonstrated that they are not reliable or care about customers.

Bye naturediet ....

There are bad reviews - but things have improved a lot - they changed the way it was cooked by cooking it in the pack rather than cooking first then sealing in the pack - the results at first were not good - the texture changed a lot and some packs were blown - and I think they lost many customers I contacted them and they were very helpful sending me newer batch packs which were much better - so I reordered another case 6 weeks ago - and it has improved vastly - although the texture has changed a lot I believe my dog enjoys it more - I think in pack cooking probably keeps in more of the goodness

All my five dogs really like lamb and I bought this as a treat. None of them would go near it, so for me a waste of money
