Good support, stronger than a tubigrip and far more comfortable in shoes due to the design. But beware there is a thick seam on the right side from the top of ankle to top of foot. This aggravates the knobbly bit of my ankle where I broke it, able to turn support inside out so seam on other side, but still a design flaw. Cheap so worth a try as gives a reassuring level of support.

Just like the other reviewers have stated, this support felt tight to start off with, but I continued wearing it for 2 days on the same foot. My other foot was sore as well and the thought crossed my mind to buy a second support, but as first foot felt a lot better, almost healed (lol - pun), I wore it on the other foot. One more day later, and the pain I'd been experiencing over the past few weeks, that had been getting progressively worse, is virtually gone.
But it's also taught me to tie my shoes a lot tighter to give me support around my ankles. (I generally don't tie my shoelaces - it looks cool you see! but I'm in my forties, trying to relive my youth!) and now even though I don't look as cool, I can walk my 10,000+ steps a day without agony...

There may be no seams underneath, but there is a dirty big one which presses right into the ankle when worn. I can only assume that other reviewers don't actually have any major problems with their ankles, as the seam and tag press right into the affected ankle causing even more pain than before. Utterly useless.

I had major foot surgery 3 months ago - tendon transfer and heel bone slide, injury due to dancing career. Following surgery I was in plaster caste for 6 weeks and 'air' boot for a further 6 weeks. My ankle was still very painful and swollen. A scan showed I had pulled two more ligaments in my ankle, unfortunately the soonest I could get an appointment to see the consultant was 3 weeks away so I was advised to purchase an ankle support. Not being able to get to the shops I purchased this Wellgate slim fit support. Within one day the swelling had gone down considerably and I have worn it most of the time, it is a little tight but my ankle is still a little swollen. Washing is easy and the fabric dries over night. It's great that you can get a normal shoe on. All in all, a good buy, just a pity it doesn't come in more sizes.

I bought one of these after I damaged my ligaments, it took a while before I could use it due to the swelling. Now I am using it regularly whilst my ankle recovers and its excellent. I feel confident walking and its very supportive. The best thing is that I can wear whatever footwear I like with it as its such a slim fit. I highly recommend this product so much so that I have ordered a second one to use whilst the first is being washed.

I sprained my ankle quite badly a couple of years ago and have been living with chronic pain ever since. My physiotherapist has been unable to diagnose the precise source of the pain but my podiatrist suggested that there might be a problem with instability that is causing the tendons to have to work harder to keep the joint secure. I am a dance teacher and this injury has severely impacted on my ability to perform. The podiatrist suggested getting a support to wear during dance classes that would provide greater stability and possibly reduce the pain while I wait for an appointment for an MRI scan. I purchased this one thinking it was adjustable, however I was mistaken. That being said, it is very tight and my ankle certainly feels more secure while I am wearing it. I am still suffering from chronic pain but there was a noticeable decrease in severity once I started wearing this support and I generally feel more confident about dancing while I am wearing it. My only criticism is that the seam at the front is a bit rough and has irritated the skin on my foot. I put a bit of toe tape over this however and it is fine. For the money I think this has been a very good product.

I was promised Friday delivery, but I received it two days earlier which was great. The fit is perfect for my size 5 foot and I can now walk without my ankle giving way. Very pleased.

This is a light weight support perfect for women - but because of it being a wrap around does show when you wear trousers. It does however do the job admirably and I have arthiritus.

I have suffered from a weak ankle for a long time, recently after coming down off a mountain i sprained my ankle, this time it was slow to heal, 4 days later and i was still struggling to walk so i bought this ankle support in the hope it would offer more than my current 'tube' support does. I'm amazed, this support feels so comfortable and it makes my ankle feel much more secure and supported.
Like other reviews have mentioned, this is a very slim support, it did feel a little tight when first on, however a couple of weeks later and it feels perfect. It washes well too.

I have had a ruptured ligament in my ankle for some months and it has been slow to respond to Physiotherapy. I was desperate so ordered this support from Amazon. It was a tight fit at first but after just 3 days I have reduced foot pain and am amazed. Worth a try.
