I've bought several student editions of the various incarnations of the CS series from Amazon. I have had no trouble in getting my activation code from Adobe. Fill in the online form, send you're ID and wait while they check it out and give you the go ahead. The only weird part is that Adobe simply let you know that you're 'case is closed' and you have to find your activation code in the registered products section of your Adobe account. This caught me out the first time.

As for the software, The individual programmes work together very well and the included BRIDGE browser is something I couldn't do without now as it previews image formats that Windows can't create thumbnails for. It also provides many other features that would take up even more space than this review!!!

Illustrator is superb and extremely powerful when you get to know it it. (If you've been using Photoshop for logos etc then Illustrator will change everything). The same goes for Indesign (I use nothing else for page layout now). Photoshop never ceases to impress in it's innovation and several of the new tools, such as the ability to remove objects from images while the computer fills in the space left by interpreting the rest of the image, is very impressive.

If you are studying graphics and want to get into the industry, especially as a freelancer, buying this at such a low price will pay for itself in the acquired knowledge that you'll need when you start your career.

Just to re-assure some of you thinking of purchasing the student edition (as long as you qualify)!
My pack arrived from Amazon in 48 hours (supersaver free delivery)
I sent (emailed) Adobe (instructions in box) a copy of my student ID card and filled in the online form.
Product ID key / serial no's received the following day (less than 24 hours).

Its a simple process - just check you can supply current ID - checkout the sales page.
As for the product - Design Standard is better value than getting individual applications, and its a bit cheaper on Amazon, compared to Adobe direct.
You can download (free trial of full product, no watermarks etc, for a month and just pay later) - but I always prefer a boxed product.

With all the design features you can possibly need. When added, you get a month to use it until your key code arrives, once entered your away. Thanks

I ordered this adobe package as I am currently studying a degree in tailoring and couture and have to do a lot of my work using illustrator, photoshop and in design. The day i put the software onto my mac i sent a photograph of my student ID and within a day I had received my new product code from adobe. Brilliant service and brilliant product. I don't like pirated editions of things I am going to use for a long time during my studies and eventually professionally. I highly recommend to students and prospective students.

i was worried about it being complicated to load and get the student code for but i was seamless and was able to be working with the program within a few days

As I have been unable to access the serial number from Adobe, I have not been able to use this software yet so very dissatisfied with this purchase thru Amazon

After 4 weeks of trying to get a serial number out of adobe for this product and after giving the relevant teaching proof I have now given up and intend to return this product to Amazon.
What is the point in Amazon selling Adobe products if Adobe turn round and say they DO NOT SUPPORT PRODUCTS BOUGHT FROM AMAZON !!!!
WOULD LIKE TO KNOW IF ANY OTHERS HAVE SUFFERED THE SAME ORDEAL !!!!
