Already had one of these in the 2gb version and decided to purchase another one. Lightweight and Simple to use, without the built in songbird software. You can either drag and drop your stored music files from your hard drive to the music folder on the player or sync using windows media player. Functions and menus are so easy to pick up, you'll be using this within minutes of receiving your player. It took me at least half an hour to copy 4gb worth of music files to this player and to start playing them. Half an hour charge gave me about 3 - 4 hour playback.

The fact that you would need to charge it using a USB connection might put some people off but I did find a USB mains charger which is compatitable with this player on amazon. There are many of them at both ends of the price range............so choose wisely! But the one I bought does a good enough job for both my 2 and 4 gb player.

I have had many different MP3 players in the past with varying degrees of success & despair especially ones named after one of your five a day! I've found this range to be small but durable,and simple to use. For anyone looking for an inexspensive but quality MP3 player - even if it's for yourself or a loved one as a gift. it might not be to everybody's taste but if you do go for it you won't be disappointed.

Bought the 4GB recently and was suprised about the quality and the ease of use. I set it up very quickly by dragging and dropping music into the correct "music" folder. It feels really solid and easy to handle and use. It was a great replacement for an alba model that was not intuitive at all.(in fact i threw it away)

Recieved this product which is excellent apart from one thing...the video clip attached to the listing clearly states that the product has a radio inbuilt. it is only when it is unpacked that it becomes clear from the enclosed literature, that it doesn't. It would have recieved 5 stars if the product had arrived as described.

I ordered myself 1 and am so pleased with it i have ordered my girlfriend and 2 kids 1 each for when i visit them in september as they live in Bulgaria and Ukraine and Russia (they like their holidays)! I wasnt sure if the mp3 would be compatible with their software so contacted Philips through their site on live chat and was so impressed with the service.

They said that if they operate a Windows system there should be no problem by the way.

I didnt have too much trouble downloading songs onto the mp3 as the Philips songbird software is pretty good. The long charge life of the battery is gr8 too as i do a few overnight guard jobs and there is definately no problem with it lasting the night! The sound quality is fine to me but to be honest the last personal music player i owned had a cassete in it!

Im not sure why the red mp3 is less than half the price of the other colours but snap it up while it is!

The MP3 player looks great, I was pleasently suprised at how small and compact it is.
As has been pointed out the product video says there is a radio and there isn't. Not an issue for me, but if you are specifically looking for a radio you will be disappointed.
The battery holds charge well. Which brings me to the only downside for me. The "hold" button is only operational when the player is in use. This means there is nothing to lock it off when it is in my bag, meaning it switches itself on and runs the battery down, which is very annoying!

I had the earlier version of this mp3, but it was stolen from my tent in Troodos mountains. This new one is an improvement on the original, lighter and quicker to access.

This is a great little MP3 player, sound quality is very good and is very easy to use. There is no need to download any software onto your computer - just drag and drop the tracks you want and away you go! Good product.

This is perfect for holding a good amount of stuff for travelling. Didn`t care much for the in ear phones which are supplied.I used other ones I had, but have since learned how to insert them,and they are fine

I love it use it all time while out walking use it wen doing housework and even listen to chill out relaxation when in bed
