3.0 out of 5 stars Mixed reactions to the book
Some good parts to this book, but some of it is hard to believe. There is a section which actually says someone was cured of cancer by laughing at comedy DVDs. There may be some benefit for those people who think they are suffering from adrenal problems, but I would not take everything in the book at face value.

The author is clearly highly knowledgeable and delves into the importance and role and causes of stress in relation to adrenal fatigue, classifies sufferers and provides actions plans and even recipes to facilitate recovery.

If you are suffering from fatigue I would strongly suggest reading Dr James Wilsons book (above) followed by this excellent book to provide a holistic package for your adrenals!

4.0 out of 5 stars Accessible information helps prepare for consultant appointment, 10 Feb. 2014

Helped me to have a clearer understanding of my deficient adrenal glands, Normally consultants are annoyed that patients speak, so I wanted to have a better understanding, to enable me to ask more' educated' questions (which will annoy them more !). It also offers recipes for different foods that have ingredients to assist in the problems people are experiencing. It also talks about menopause, and what the organs producing different endocrines to circulate in the body., and what that does. Accessible index to make it easy to look up specific aspects. I'm sure I will use it again, after my endocrine appointment also. Helpful to have , as medical professionals generally prefer not to have a patient with this sort of problem, because of its complexity , so information that can be trusted is very helpful.

I found this book informative, but similar to many others. Good for the initiate, but if you wish to delve deeper I think Joan Borysenco's books would be more appropriate.
