As with the other reviewer I ordered this because it was considerably cheaper than other cat activity trees. Like about half the price including postage. I was originally told that it would take up to 5 weeks to be delivered, but then got an email saying it was being dispatched after only two weeks. It is sent from Germany. They used DPD for delivery who gave me an hour slot and delivered it exactly on time. The assembly instructions are a little odd, specifically the order in which you're told to assemble it. In the end, after checking all the pieces and using the photo on Amazon as a guide, I simply assembled it from the bottom up. It's quite easy and took about 30 minutes from start to finish. The tree is quite sturdy and well-made. Although it looks cute to humans, I found that the ladder bit actually hinders my cats' ability to use the tree as there isn't actually space for them to get onto the top of the covered bit with it there, so I removed it. The ladder isn't structural as it's not fixed at the bottom. My cats are also too big to go into the covered bit as there are two supporting columns inside (not visible in the photo) so I may remove the covering and just have two platforms.

Once assembled I put cat treats on it and lifted the cats up! One cat simply snarfed the treats and then retreated to his favourite chair, but this wasn't entirely unexpected as he's not the most playful of cats. I have seen him occasionally use it as a scratching post but mostly he still uses my chairs. Sigh. The other cat adores it. He likes to doze in the basket in the evening whilst we're watching the TV or sits on the very top playing with the mouse and keeping an eye on the world. As he kneads the basket with his claws before settling down I'm not sure how long the fabric will last, but I don't think it will be too arduous to replace the fabric with something else when it goes. He is 4.5Kg and although the tree wobbles when he jumps up and down it seems quite stable and I'm not worried about it toppling over.

All in all, for the money I this has proved to be an excellent toy for my more active cat and it's not too obtrusive in the living room (I chose the beige colour as I have a natural, beige carpet). I had hoped that they might use it as a scratching post, but that hasn't really happened.

I have no idea where all these five star reviews come from for this tree, presumably 1) the build quality of this product has been severely changed over time as the one we received didn’t match the picture - the amount of scratching rope has been drastically reduced on all the posts so I look forward to the cat tearing the fabric (also a different shade) off on these posts around the scratch rope! or 2) the people leaving reviews are from partners of the person who actually built this thing and not from the person who spent sweat and swears putting it together.

First of all the instructions are poor, it's best to use them alongside the photos on amazon to work out what goes where as looks a bit like an x ray and not easy to follow (unless medically trained?).

Now from the get go the bolt that sits inside the top of the first post installed snapped off and fell inside preventing me from attaching the next pole in the chain. I therefore had to cut through the plastic on the top of this post to get at the bolt and re-sit it with superglue the within the plastic where it should sit firm then re-attach this into the post. The bolts that link the stair posts seen on the right of picture aren't long enough to reach through the stair post and through fabric then through the actual stair wood so we had to do some DIY to get this to fit. As mentioned in numerous other reviews the mouse falls off even if you look at it the wrong way so this had to be more firmly re-attached to the string. Getting other bits and pieces together isn't the easiest (e.g. getting the posts that run through the house to sit firmly in place so you can then proceed to thread the bolts through was "fun") but I'm fine with fiddly due to the sheer amount of cheap flat pack furniture I've had to build over the years but this whole thing felt cheap and ill-fitting, from the bolts to the posts and fittings.

It looks nice once up and the delivery was quick and speedy but the actual tree I would not recommend. I'm really curious to check out the more expensive trees available at the likes of Pets at Home to compare the build quality, as this is far from what I would expect.

Ordered this as it was a fair bit cheaper than most of the ones on here, and although its a new seller, I was really impressed. Firstly the item arrived way before I was expecting, so that was awesome, shipping is listed as taking up to 20 days and it was more like a week.
The instructions were on one page which did alarm me a little at first, but turned out it was very easy to assemble, got it up within about 20 min!
The cats were very interested while I was assembling it, but once it was up the buggers didnt look at it!
A week on and they are finally now becoming a little interested again, mainly the younger one...which is probably for the best, as the big lump of cat that is Bear, would probably knock it over with his weight. It is exactly as tall as listed, but did look smaller in real life...

I'd say for normal sized cats its awesome, and especially for young cats, but the chunky monkeys may avoid:)

This is great, its very tall but you will see that from the measurements. Took a bit of thought at the putting together stage but we got there, found it easier to look at the picture on here than the instructions. Have removed the soft basket as it was way to small for my cat and he did not like the fact it seemed unstable when he tried to get in it as it was only attached by a metal ring around the fabric and a disk in the middle to slot it on to the post. However this does not affect the structure and in fact with the lower platform set round in front of the "cave" it gives him a very tall scratching post that he can really stretch up on.

I absolutely love this! I was like a kid in a toy shop when it arrived, more excited than more furry friends were! The product itself is just as described, easy to assemble (if you don't pay too much attention to the instructions as they were over complicated)! My 2 furry friends love it! Its only been up 2 days and they are constantly chilled out on it, we have it in front of a window so they can watch the world go by from it, which has gone down well. The mouse toy lasted less than 4 hours, but I didn't expect that long to be honest. If your kitty doesn't chew, then it will last longer, but my eldest likes to chew 'wire' type string and doesn't stop until its chewed through. All in all a fantastic product and I am saving up for another design of this brand.

Product came very promptly. Took a while to put together, as the instructions aren't great.
It's very sturdy and is a nice design.

Once this comes together it's obvious that cats in the pictures are photo-shopped, as my two cats cannot fit in the "house" section as it's very small.

A very well made Cat tree, such a lovely compact fitness centre. It is quite high, but my 3 month old kitten climbs on top of it with no problem. She also loves to sleep inside of the house, often plays with the pompone attached to the top shelf. Has not been interested in the hammock yet. I got the tree together myself, and it took about 20 minutes. It came with a good enough assembly scheme, no parts were missing, which is rare these days, the posts were marked, so I knew where each one goes. It came from Germany, so no surprise it's such a good quality. I would genuinely recommend this scratcher tree to cat owners. And it is 120cm high.

This was for a small-medium sized cat and is perfect for her, she won't grow much more so will be great for when she's older too. Very sturdy for her, even when she has her 5 minutes of madness, she can climb up the tall scratcher part no problem (and even uses this for her claws too!). I don't have the top scratcher on as she can get on the shelves so I took this pole out and have the platform with the mouse screwed into where the pole would have gone, perfect for her to sit on the top and play with the mouse still, and high enough for her to sit and look out the window at the birds. She uses the base for sleeping more than she does her actual bed but I don't mind that. She can fit into the bowl perfect but uses this more to play with the mouse! The dangley rope is perfect to play with from inside the cave, which she fits nicely into, and I even put the lower platform so she can stretch out of the cave if she wants to. All in all very please with the product, it took about an hour to put together even though the instructions weren't the best (some of the screws weren't easy to work out and it didn't say which way the outer panels of the stairs should be, but figured it out eventually when we couldn't get the rope to screw in!).

took a while to construct as the instructions arent quite ikea friendly but didnt take too long to take apart and reconstruct once you learn what sized pieces/ screws go where. quite sturdy even with my giant cats lauching themselves at it. very good for its price but with larger cats it may be well worth taking the steps out so you have decent sized platforms for them to perch on.

I have 3 'fully grown' cats & this is perfect for them. It's very sturdy for them to climb, even for the heaviest cat!
They love sitting on the top tier but also find different areas to sleep on together. Well made & definitely worth every penny. Would recommend, especially if you have indoor cats that love to climb.
