This is a good product, I gave a poor review,about the skins splitting,I now know that i ordered the wrong size, they was too small for the nozzle on my machine, SORRY.....M Brown.

The casings are easy to use, they don't have any smell and any taste. I made wonderful English sausages with the help of a machine.
I'm very happy with them.

Made beautiful looking sausages but never got to taste them as the seasoning I used was too salty. (Ready prepared seasoning bought in packet.) Next time I will use my own seasoning - but happy with the handling of these Collagen Skins.

The only negative is i should have got the bigger size because the sausages taste so great i need more.The skins look very brittle and dry when you first open the package but after you start filling them with your own recipes they become instantly just perfect.They may take a little getting used to if you haven't made sausages before but after you relax the sausage really make themselves. Dont worry about recipes just go for it with whatever you fancy the results will amaze you...

As a novice sausage maker I find these casings easy to use, even on my first attempt. I did have a slight problem with them splitting but think that was my fault for allowing them to overfill. On my second attempt I was more careful with filling & had no splits at all until I tried to link them. I think that allowing them to rest for a while before linking will allow the casings to moisten & make it much easier. I'll try this next time. A very good product.

They are not so elastic so you cannot stretch them too much, this makes it impossible to place more than 30 cm on the nozzle without the risk of breaking them. But, besides this little drawback, they work fantastically. If handled with care they don't break. they don't need to be soaked in water which makes the job easy and clean and when cooked they just blend with the meat leaving no taste at all. I will for sure purchase them again.

Made my first sausages using these on my Kenwood that the wife bought me for my birthday. I was over the moon with the results. No splits or tears and slip off the nozzle evenly to allow good control of the fill. Cooking - well I cannot tell the difference between these and shop ones. Its good that you can store them dry and not have to faff with soaking etc..now im going to hide because my wife hates being called 'the wife' hehehehe

These were the first collagen skins we have ever bought and I would buy more
Next time I would get some bigger diameter ones
Unlike natural skins these a likely to split in the pan when cooking
They don't split when being filled though and you don't need to soak them at all
They store for a very long time if kept dry
You need some of these as well as natural skins if you want to be prepared for sausage making

Great product. Relatively quick delivery ( I live in Spain) and easy to use without all the palaver of washing the skins through that is the case with gut skins. No need to freeze or refrigerate either and with a shelf life of two years. I made three kilos of Italian chilli and garlic sausages yesterday... Delicious!
