Doesn't quite measure up.
on 2 August 2013
I've never been a great B&D fan, but having read many of the reviews, and owning an old twin line strimmer (with all its problems!) which has seen better days this looked like it would be a suitable replacement. I mowed the front and back lawns today and strimmed both and a rough grass area.............It did the job, but.........
The good points are: 1. Line feed was faultless (if a little noisy). 2. It has plenty of power.
Not so good points: 1. Ridiculously short lead (I already use an extension lead, but need something at least 2 metres longer). Come on B&D lead can't be that expensive that you have to 'penny pinch' a couple of metres. 2. The change of head angle is a touch 'fiddly' having to rotate and release the lock 'nut' each time. 3. There is no obvious guide mark to use when lawn edging, making it a bit hit and miss. I struggled to achieve a really smooth contour.
