I absolutely loved this piece!!! (squeals with delight) At so many points I thought I had figured out the stories direction only to be pleasantly proved wrong. The psychological tournament, grief and intertwined nostalgia for a return to the simplistic but equally enthralling relationships we first form in our youth, experienced by Joy, demonstrates how traumatic lost can be and how it can plague the fabric of our adulthood in ways we could never imagine unless forced to face our past...Good looking doctor living in a farmhouse ain't too bad an image either!

This is how a book should be written. Good story with a lot of twists and turns. Enjoyable read. On top of that I got it for free.

Found this book to be long possibly because the story didn't engage me at all. It was quite predictable but also quite dull. Definitely would not recommend this even as a holiday book.

Well thought out and the characters are believable. The ending is predictable, but that didn't put me off reading it. Some nice twists which kept me entertained. Would be a great holiday read.

I'm not a one for romances really and the only reason I got this was because I was having trouble with my Kindle initially and amazone were trying to help me with a downloading problem. This book was one I picked to see if it would download properly (which it did) so I thought I'd read it. It was OK but that's all it was - but maybe it's because I'm not really into romances.

The only thing I was absolutely tired of was will they/won't they fall in love on numerous occasions and I became a little tired of this. It's perfectly acceptable to wonder about this in books but this happend FAR too many times and I became tired of it and at several points didn't care whether or not they ever would get together in the end. Some of the incidents that happened too seemed a bit far-fetched if you don't believe in the long-gone past raising its head again. Not very impressed and I think the details of this book were far too hyped-up.

I was really looking forward to this book, it was rated highly, however the plot just dragged on and on, I feel a lot could have been cut from the story and it would have still been quite dull and boring, sorry to the author, but this did not capture my interest like many other books have, slow, dragged out and .mind numbing.

started reading this book not really having a clue what it was about and at first it took me a while to get into it. It's about a 35 year old woman who suffers a big loss when she was 17, her best friend, Jenny, dies in a car crash and as a result Joy shuts down entirely and refuses to remember anything about the time of the crash, instead choosing to blame the driver and Jenny's then boyfriend, Jeff. Joy moves back to her home town and into Jenny's old house, where events lead her to confront the past and attempt to remember what she's forgotten.

The story is very well written and very well told. It has the right amount of predictable and twists that you want to keep reading to reach the happy ever after you know is due. The way everything happens isn't as predictable. I assumed that Joy would end up even worse after she got her memories back, but she does have help overcoming everything.

Jeff is a great character, it's told in such a way that I didn't really hate him as Joy did, i was routing for him to be the good guy. He was a great leading man. Joy tries to be as strong as she can but you really are just egging her on all the way to remember things, you want to know as much as she does!

There is nothing raunchy about this book, so it's safe to read in public! But the book is very sweet even though there are elements in it that scared even me when I pictured it. There are supernatural elements to this book, but it doesn't take the mick. It's very believable and doesn't leave you questioning it. It is a very heart warming book, the only annoying thing I found was that Joy didn't go home sooner! She could have been happy all along!! (Some raunchy bits would have been good too but the book is good anyway!)

I would thoroughly recommend this read and it is currently free on Amazon! Happy days!

This is a delightfully intriguing book with several twists and turns with romance, regret, intrigue, paranormal activity, suspence and family anxiety all rolled in together. Enjoyable read.
