Highly recommended reading if you are interested in religious history, a primer on religious strife and warfare, and want some idea of how, of even if, we can get out of the conflicts that fill the news today. (Short answer: It's complicated.)

5.0 out of 5 stars well researched historical perspective, 11 Sep 2013
This review is from: How to Win a Cosmic War: Confronting Radical Religion (Kindle Edition)
This is a well researched book that looks at the historical evidence for Jesus of Nazareth. It shows the selective memory of both the early christian movement and the obvious contradictions in the bible. it also highlights the lack of 'personal jesus' in the teachings of those that ran the Jesus sect following jesus's death. The Christian church of today is based very much on the teachings of a man who never met him and was consdered a heritic by most of the early church, including Jesus's brothers (conveniently airbrushed from the new testament)

nothing like actually reading the bible rather than selective bits to make you an atheist.

Time for us to all stop arguing about angels dancing on pin heads and start growing up as a culture.
