This is the best of their releases and it has a garage sound unlike anything else I have heard. The sound quality is somewhere between a demo tape and a live recording, but this is part of the joy of this release. The opener Nerve Jamming is one of the best tracks, but the title GB City is a cracking good pop tune. It's a modern retro sound. There are some duller moments too, but overall I recommend you buy this and irritate the neighbours :-)

Gritty Garage Rock. If you like the early Eagles Of Death Metal, King Tuff, Wet Nuns etc then Bass Drum Of Death is sure to be a favourite. It'll get your foot tapping, your head bopping and you'll be singing the words by the first chorus. The CD packaging doesn't come with much but what's there is classy

Sounds like an early-early BRMC album (when they are in rock mode, not shoe gazing mode). Great first effort, but as one of them is no longer.....will there be another?
