3.0 out of 5 stars can't decide if this is a keeper
my son loves the underground and all things Tube related so we bought this. basically you have to travel round the underground map to visit the stations you received in the dealt hand at the beginning. our only gripe is that there are only a few stations that you have to visit - the traditional tourist ones. there is a tiny bit of info about these stations and there are...

4.0 out of 5 stars Interesting, 27 Dec. 2012

My 9 year old nephew loves board games, this one is no exception. The only thing which stops this from being a five star is the fact that if you are not familiar with the names of the underground stations it does take a couple of games of scanning the board for the station you need which does hold things up a bit. However once familiarity takes hold it's great fun.

4.0 out of 5 stars London Board Game, 31 Dec. 2012

I had the original of this game and wanted to buy it for my children and to see how much it has changed over the years, still a good game, ideally the pieces need to be a bit smaller as sometimes it's a bit tricky to know what station you're at if stations are close together and miss the station closed signs which were better than the counters in the new version. apart from that its still a good game, well worth the money

5.0 out of 5 stars The best board game, 4 Jan. 2013

Bought the game as an update of the original once purchased many moons ago from the London transport museum. Ecstatic to find an updated tube map and the addition of new souvenir cards. The game has also been updated with colour coded cards and a chart in the instructions to help underground novices locate the stations. Great combination of skill and luck and great fun for all ages!

A nice twist on the familiar concept of 'get your piece back home before the other players'. It will build awareness of getting around the London Underground, it also includes interesting trivia about London landmarks and would be nice even for people that know London well. It is going to be our favourite board game for years to come!

The London Tube board game was an excellent gift for my 10-year old son, who is keen about the tube. He enjoys the ride and most of the hazard cards, especially those sending other players to the most distant stations.

The game is fun and addictive.

I purchased this game for young relatives in Australia due to visit the UK. They enjoyed playing the game and when they got to London they enjoyed travelling on the underground and were able to navigate around easily.

4.0 out of 5 stars Good fun for the family, 11 Jan. 2013

After a little confusion getting started we soon picked up the way to play. The only criticism I have is that the tube map could do with being larger as the counters are too big for the close together tube stations

Potentially good fun but the board is too crowded and everything too close together for several people to play. Playing with about 2 people OK but that is it. Board needs updating big time.
