Unfortunately this toy didnt work when it arrived. Being a electrical mechanical design engineer i felt if i had a looksie inside, that may be i could fix it rather than go through the returns process.
Simple enough fix, there was a dry solder joint on one of the battery terminals. Once resoldered it sprang to life, but the music was grating and tinny so i whipped out the speaker while i had it open.

Seeing inside the thing drew me to the conclusion that the build quility was below par and fitting of a product made in China and can only imagine a 14 year old boy in a sweatshop had built it.

Anyway... i put it back together and gave it a full test to realise one of the flashing lamps wasnt working but wasnt prepared to take it apart a second time to rectify it.

It's made of that squeaky creaky plastic that breaks real easy and the on/off switches are not very strong and will break really easy if any real force is applied to them.

There isnt enough fake coils and being made of plastic they dont behave the same way as real coins do.

The tilt mechanism is nothing more than 2 switches that protrude from the bottom of the toy, and does not detect if the toy is slid or hit in an attempt to get coins to drop.

Surprisingly it is still working after 3 months and my son loves it, so i guess that warrants a star.
