5.0 out of 5 stars Best 580 on the market, 24 Oct. 2011
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
This review is from: Palit GeForce GTX 580 NVIDIA Graphics Card with 3D Surround Ready (3GB,PCI-E 2.0, GDDR5) (Accessory)
Bought this for my AMD phenom 1100T based system, monsters anything I can throw at it, just be careful it fits in your case as this is a large card. Runs Arma 2, Crysis etc everything flat out. Card runs at about 72 degrees in my case, never managed to get it higher than this whilst gaming. Comes with V tune software for those interested in over-clocking. Requires two PCI-E power supply cables. Recommended PSU I believe is 600W minimum. Not had a lot of experience with GPU cards but this thing is a tad noisy when running full chat with the fans going, probably the loudest component in my system. Would recommend. Cannot imagine two of these in SLI.

5.0 out of 5 stars Amazing GTX 580 3GB, 10 Dec. 2011

This review is from: Palit GeForce GTX 580 NVIDIA Graphics Card with 3D Surround Ready (3GB,PCI-E 2.0, GDDR5) (Accessory)
I recently bought this GTX 580 for my I5 gaming rig. This card monsters any game on the market and will do until the next generation of cards are released. This card runs at 70C at 100% fan speed while doing some heavy gaming which is amazing for a card as powerful as this. Would definately recommend for a cheaper alternative to the MSI Lightning GTX 580 Xtreme Version as this comes with a good overclock software so you can push the card to give even better FPS.

I bought this last year and for the time it was the best single GPU you could get. Not anymore though as the 680 has arrived which is comparable in price to this yet will outperform it.

Do not buy this unless the price comes down considerably.

It is a bit noisy gpu. We use it for image processing (3d render) and it performs very well and is very stable on long time renders.
