Dyson DC19T2 Multi Floor Cylinder Vacuum Cleaner for Every Floor Type

This is the first Dyson that I have ever brought. Everyone said that Dyson was the way to go and I have to say I now agree with them. I was amazed the amount of rubbish that it picked up.

I use this Dyson in a 3 bedroom house consisting of both Wooden and carpet floors and it works great on both. It came with stair tool as well as a long nozzle tool. The nozzle tool has a brush attachment integrated into it that you can slide up its length if you want the brush or slide back if you do not. I would have preferred a separate attachment and thus why I gave it a 4 star rating (But please this is a personal thing don't let it stop you from buying.) The attachments store nicely on a little fixture that sits around the barrel of the standard floor carpet attachment (that is the long retractable pole thing u see in the picture - sorry for my poor explanation) which keeps everything nice and neat.

On a side line I looked at a lot of different Dyson as my other half is very small and we had to have something she could carry up and down the stairs, and this hoover was just right for that. Although she can not stand up holding the Hoover while vacuuming as it will give her ache arm she can lift it up and down the stairs with no problems at all.

To lay it on the line, it has been my wife who has purchased vacum cleaners in our house & frankly they have been junk.As I am the one who vacum cleans here at the ranch, I decided some time ago that I had a gutfull & that I would buy another vacum cleaner. A friend of mine in the UK had a Dyson,so I started to do a check which revealed great reviews for the DC19T2. It arrived here a week ago & I am unable to believe the quality of the product. The suction is unreal, almost sucked up the cat.I do not have one negative comment relating to this product. Conclusion- fantastic-

A good powerful replacement to our old Dyson, appears to be picking up everything including hairs in the carpet. Smaller than our old one as well which is good.

The only criticism would be the hose is not longer enough, it appears they've made it smaller to cut costs, but not a major problem.

Overall very good.

I purchased this product to replace my previous Dyson DC04 that had lasted without any setbacks for over 13 years and in the end it was me that killed the machine as I dropped it down the stairs. For its replacement I thought I would try a cylinder cleaner thinking that it would be easier to manover around furnishings and lighter to carry (especially up stairs) and I am very happy with it in both these respects.

The cleaning power is unbeatable and the style is quite eligant, that is if a cleaner can be classed as being eligant. It is a joy to see the dust and grime that even the DC04 failed to pick up, being sucked up into this fantastic machine.

However, as my title suggests it is not perfect. It could be, and Mr Dyson if you ever read these reviews yourself, please take note. The machine comes with, what is laughably called an every floor type brush. Which is an oblong block with which is surrounded on the edges with bristles. The downside to this brush is that the suction power is so good it pulls the carpet up slightly from the floor and makes it hard to push because it practically has sealed itself to the carpet.

In order to counteract this I will have to purchase the TURBINE head which has a revoling brush much like the upright vacuum cleaners. I feel that this has let Dyson down, because it looks like it has been done intentially so that you have to buy this extra product, but at an extra cost of around £60.00 this really does put this cleaner in the very highest priced cleaners on the market. The only saving point is at least on AMAZON the cost of the cleaner is around £40.00 cheaper than any other retailer that I looked at.

The other downside, the little bracket that serves as a rest for the wand, looks and feels very cheap and very weak and I will not be using it for fear of it snapping.

So in conclusion.
PLUS POINT: - This is probably one of the best vacuums on the market and you would be hard pushed to find one better.
MINUS POINT:- You NEED to buy the turbine head (unless of course you want arms like Arnold Schwarzenegger.)

Mr Dyson or Mr Amazon, if you do read this and would like my review to be 5 star, I am open to bribery and would welcome a free TURBINE BRUSH. Well I can live in hope, can't I?

I've always wanted a Dyson and as soon as my old hoover started to run into problems I decided to buy one.

Power:
This Dyson is extremely powerful you can see it pull the carpet and it feels soft after cleaning it. The hose is small and light it can get into very tight spaces.

Lightweight:
One of the main reasons why I got this because all your doing is moving around the hose not the whole thing. It's light to carry up and down the stairs.

See The Results:
Just cleaning the whole house you can see in the filter all the dust it picks up. It picked up twice as much as my old hoover!

Tools:
2 type of tools that attach to the main house for doing the stairs or other small area's like cleaning out your car. These tools are handy and work well.

Good:
Lightweight.
Very powerful.
See the results.
Well made product.
Looks fancy and futuristic.
Not noisy.
No bags to buy for it.

Bad:
Some people may find it too powerful when cleaning with this it can be hard to move the hose sometimes.
When you press the button for it to pull the plug in it does it very fast the plug took off and nearly broke something. I have found just holding the plug and let the wire go in and then the last bit with the plug solves this problem.

Overall:
This very nice stylish powerful Dyson is very lightweight and does the job well for all parts of your home from carpets, wooden floors, stairs and the car.

I'm not an expert on vacuum cleaners, in fact this is the first one I've bought (previous one was a hand-me-down). First let me say the suction on this thing is amazing, sometimes I worry that it's going to actually suck up my house. On wooden and laminated floors the dual-mode head is great, it moves smoothly and picks up every speck of dirt and fluff.

Unfortunately the same can't be said for carpets. Using the dual-mode head on either setting is a struggle and it seems to be completely defeated by fluff. The head simply pushes the fluff aside and you find yourself moving the head directly over fluff, stopping, moving a little and then lifting to see if it finally sucked it up. This makes a simple task of vacuum cleaning a room a long and tedious job.

I've now ordered the turbine head directly from Dyson and hopefully this will alleviate the fluff problem and make it easier to move around. However, this is an extra £55 on top of the price of the so-called Multi Floor Vacuum Cleaner that is apparently for Every Floor Type!

Never had a Dyson before but everyone who owns one seems to think they're great, so finally decided to try one. They are expensive so it wasn't a decision made on the spur of the moment! Actually it is an excellent machine, not too noisy, really light and brilliant suction power. It is attractive to look at and easy to use, although I do find that I am emptying the dust container a lot more often than I did with my previous machine. However, it is easy to do and very simple to keep clean, so this more than makes up for that. I would highly recommend this Dyson to anyone - I don't have pets so cannot comment on the efficiency with animal hair.

You can't beat the suction of a Dyson! The first time I used it, I was amazed at the way it was lifting my heavy rug off the floor. Having previously had upright Dysons, I decided to give the cylinder version a go and am very pleased with it. I had read other reviews, so mostly knew what to expect. Because of the suction power it really sticks to the floor and can tend to push some bits around, so you have to place the end over some larger bits of dirt. That's not a major problem, though. Also bought the attachment for carpets (can't think of the exact product name), which is excellent. I like the way the handle and hose clips onto the cylinder when not in use. Very neat and tidy.

REPLACED AN OLDER DYSON AFTER MANY YEARS OF LOYAL SERVICE ,THE NEW MACHINE IS EASY TO HANDLE AND THE SUCTION IS AS YOU WOULD EXPECT.FIRST CLASS PRODUCT WELL WORTH THE EXTRA MONEY IT DID NOT FAIL IN ANY AREA.

I received my new Dyson efficiently through Amazon. It was easy to assemble although I would like words as well as pictures. It cleans both carpet and laminate floors excellently. I was confused about removing the filter and extending the wand but the free Dyson help line were able to solve both problems. My only criticism concerns the tube which is not long enough to clean up the stairs whereas the upright model is able to do this.
