So here's yer basic premise. A Russian gang who're into human trafficking Eastern Europeans (selling women into sex slavery and the men to illegal fights) crosses paths with a local businessman Gabe (played by Billy Murray out of Eastenders). Kidnapping his soon-to-be-wed daughter, a turf war escalates. Cue lots of running about, shouting and fighting.

Despite the modern theme, it's actually a fairly traditional thriller, almost the Sweeney with added macho, as Craig Fairbrass (also out of Eastenders) helps Gabe rescue his daughter from Danny Midwinter (out of The Bill), the evil Romanian mafia boss.

Aa befits a film helmed by a stunt director, Stuart St. Paul (Emmerdale, Seed Of Chucky), the set pieces are very good, but what it makes up for in fight scenes, it lacks in dialogue. But then I don't imagine that was really the point of this film. The actors actually do a good shift and are well cast, including Laura Aikman (Casualty) as Gabes daughtere.

It gets a bit confusing in places, as the two destinations (sex and cagefighting) don't really mix (unless your name is Jordan), and it might have worked better if they'd concentrated on one storyline. The Yorkshire tourist board won't certainly enjoy this, as the Leeds locations are invariably gritty, dark and unpleasant, but as a Friday night DVD, this does its job in the required 90 minutes.

I saw this film at the cinema. Found it a great action movie, good acting and well shot. This grabbed my attention from the start. I have now bought it on DVD and watched a couple of times. Edge of the seat action a good story and would imagine that this probably does go on in real life. I highley recommend this if action movies are for you.

Firstly I am a Fairbrass fan, I like macho cockney geezers, I like Brit films and I like action underdog films. This is clearly all four of these. This makes it a cult film for a select few only. It will suffer from Hollywood comparisons (Taken, Face, Lock Stock, Rise of, Essex Boys even Love, Honour and Obey all miles better) and that is a shame as it is a small film (£2 mill budget) that needs to be judged as it stands alone. I guess it is ambitious from a small team, but I accept it is an easy current story laced with masculine themes and action. If you are up for a brainless revenge chase action romp then this has all the content needed, with dodgy simple acting and accents throughout.

Freight will get slated but I enjoyed it. It is relatively well paced, shot in good definition and a solid enough Brit Movie. Fairbrass and Murray team up once again (Dead Cert) and this is their best film by far. Many critics will question these TV actors (soap EastEnders) intent on being movie stars (however small a film) but for fans of the Danny Dyer genre of modern Brit gangster films this is a good watch.

Romanian sex-trafficking gang steal a toilet trailer with son in law inside, from a Boxing Club gangster. They go to get it back, using over the top force, killing a few of the gang. Evil leader Christie gets revenge by bombing the boxing club, and stealing Taylor's daughter. The revenge games then begin, with a dose of cage fighting, prostitution out of a strip club and the usual guns and explosive killings to find his daughter.

Better than Bonded by Blood, but not as good as Rise of The Footsoldier.

This is a pretty good well made Brit flick with a strong cast and edgy story, Craig Fairbrass is his usual macho ex military type and is a pretty cool character, good to see him playing a good guy for a change, The story involves his friends daughter being kidnapped by a human trafficking group so they stop at nothing to track her down, loads of shootouts and gun battles, and plenty of bare knuckle action! If you love a good gritty Brit flick then make sure you dont miss this one.

I think that this is one of Billy Murray's best films. Everyone who knows him knows that he is the ultimate action guy - a superb actor who puts everything into his performance to make it credible. He did a few scenes in Coronation Street and brought that to life! If you are a fan then this is a must have for your collection. This film is not for the faint hearted but if you like serious action films this is the one. Enjoy!

I came across this film by chance and only brought it because of the cast Billy Murray & Craig Fairbrass who I had
seen in RISE OF THE FOOTSOLDIER.I really do recommend this film as a really good story which reflects on what is
happening today in england also their some great action scenes not over the top like U.S. blockbusters, the film also
boasts some good support actors like Danny Midwinter (prime suspect) as the mafia boss Christi and Laura Aikman
(casualty)as Billy Murray Gabe's daughter.
I really recommend this film its a must for your dvd collection.we could really do with more BRITISH action thrillers
as we have some really good actors and directors in this country instead of relying on all these hollywood blockbusters all
of the time

Bought this dvd on the basis of the trailers and that I like most British gangster movies.....was very disappointed with the movie...there was no semblance of continuity...it seemed to go from one scene to the next without any explanation....normally I would recommend people to see for themselves what a movie is like...but in this case I would say it would be a waste of your money...so be warned
