Saw there was no track listing on this 3CD set.
Most others in the series are 5 CD sets.
Thought the listing would help people.

I agree with my fellow reviewers it's actually cheaper to buy the CDs than pay to download them!
That internet thingy must be getting expensive have they thought of outsourcing it to India!!

5.0 out of 5 stars Love and Politics, 5 Jan 2012
This review is from: Original Album Classics (MP3 Download)
Three albums from Gil's 'middle period' (is that a fair description?). For someone new to Gil Scott-heron, I would recommend starting with his earlier albums. There are very good songs in these three albums and the package is very good value for money, but he also made better albums too. However, I don't want to put people off, particularly those who like Gil. These are must-have albums.

Songs of love and politics, the pick of them for me would be:

Not Needed
Your Daddy Loves You (an interesting re-working)
Is That Jazz?
Morning Thoughts (a great mix of love and politics, in fact, and a dreamy start to any new day)
Blue Collar ('You can't name where I ain't been down' - great line!)

4 stars by GSH's standards. 5 stars by general standards. The man was an artist, up there in musical stature with his own heroes, if you ask me. RIP Gil.

4.0 out of 5 stars Great Deal if You Love Gil, 19 Nov 2013

These may not be Gil Scott-Heron's best albums, but they're all very good, the price is great, and the packaging is excellent--miniature reproductions of the original album sleeves. I think the mastering could be a little better, though--all three albums sound a little "muddy" to me--and I do hope they soon reissue these with the best possible sound. Meanwhile, these will do!

This collection contains 3 albums stored in cardboard sleeves. It is a great collection of Gil Scott-Heron and a good introduction to those not familiar with his work.

Buying the album was cheaper than downloading it - go figure that one!!
