5.0 out of 5 stars Timey-wimey, shakey-wakey...stuff
This is a great Doctor Who themed variation on the old rubber moulds of Disney characters etc that could be filled with plaster of Paris and then painted at leisure. The set comprises two moulds - a seated Cyberleader and a TARDIS, two bags of plaster, a paintbrush and selection of poster paints, plus the actual shaker. There is a also a stand on which to place the model...

3.0 out of 5 stars disappointing - it leaked
Not the best idea in the world
as an educational toy, it had limited appeal - ONE casting and its now consigned to the bottom of the toy box.

in producing the ONE and only moulding, we ended up using all the compound - why because the mould leaked badly and you know what you couldn't see it leaking as the mould is inside a cup, so we ened up with half a...

The instructions for use are easy to follow and very clear, the process is good messy fun, and the resulting models are robust, detailed, and great fun to paint. This product is far superior to the 'Flesh bowl' set that my daughter also received for Christmas, and makes a great holiday or cold weekend activity.

It is a great way to get my son to do something creative (he normally hates making things)- it is easy to do, and great to paint - and adds to the Dr Who memorabilia he has in his room.

in producing the ONE and only moulding, we ended up using all the compound - why because the mould leaked badly and you know what you couldn't see it leaking as the mould is inside a cup, so we ened up with half a tardis an a BIG block of plaster inside the moulds cup. If the cup was transparent you would have been able to see the mistake.

For future use, recommend that the 2 halfs of the mould are bound together more tightly, possibly using a sealer around the edges somehow. As the 2 halfs did not fit together well and the mould leaked.

As said this was a ONE off toy, so for one time use its a expensive
