This is the fourth Dickens novel I have read and my favourite so far. Desperate and delightful at the same time, it is a poignant journey back in time, and not just centred around an old shop. The illustrations are beautiful and enhance the reading experience. Shame on Oscar Wilde for being so cruel to Little Nell!

The book, 'The Old Curiosity Shop', arrived in good time, securely but not excessively packaged. As usual with The Oxford Illustrated Dickens edition, The text is clear and the quality of paper is excellent. It is good to have a copy with the complete by Cattermole and H. K. Brown

Beautifully written - typically Dickens. The illustrations in this edition are extraordinary and contribute richly to the reader's enjoyment. They also help to alleviate the inevitable sadness of little Nell's experiences.

I purchased this product because its a fantastic read, great Dickens novel, traditional and takes you back in time.
I would highly recommend it, especially good to read next to an open fire on a cold wet day!

I enjoyed the book, but I really thought she would find happiness in the end, I cried at all the sadness she had to live through, and yet she never gave up and always looked forward.

The download of the book is great but where is the free audio download? I've clicked onto the only links available and still can't find it.

What's not to like? A much loved old favourite, sensibly bound and priced. Reread it and pass it on to someone.

Great but drawn out. Having to keep the weekly publication running to cheer up the editor!

As is usual, Dickens' descriptive style of writing paints a brilliant picture!

THE START WAS GOOD AND I WAS SHOCKED WHEN THE GRAND FATHER STOLE FROM HIS OWN GRAND DAUGHTER. THE DEATH OF LITTLE MILLIE SPOILT THE WHOLE STORY EVEN THOUGH THIS WAS HINTED AT FROM THE BEGINNING. HOWEVER SOME EXCELLENT CHARACTER DESCRIPTIONS. DICKENS AT HIS BEST!
