5.0 out of 5 stars RATT 'N' ROLL - TALES OF A RATT - THINGS YOU SHOULDN'T KNOW., 15 Nov 2011
Tales of A Ratt is an autobiography of Ratt drummer Bobby 'Blotz' Blotzer and a fascinating insight into the rise ( and fall ) and rise again of '80's Glam Rock / Hard Rock group Ratt from their beginnings and Rise to the Top in the Mid 1980's Rock scene of L.A Rock. This wonderful book traces Bobby Blotzer on his personal journey in the band and touring with mega platinum rock band RATT and his personal life and fame and fortune and his relationships with the other members of the band and other famous friends from the heavy Rock scene of the same period.

This is a book no Ratt fan will want to be without and this will take you right back to the great days of Ratt 'N' Roll to bring the memories flooding back to anyone that was a fan or saw Ratt on their tours from the 1980's or saw them when they were starting out in the Rock clubs of L.A Right through the Worldwide shows of Out of the cellar, Invasion of Your Privacy , Dancing Undercover , Reach for the sky and Detonator tours and to the end of an era when this type of Music faced a dramatic end of an era with the emergence of 'Grunge' which saw the spandex and glam and hair metal facing a threat.Time has proven that this era should NOT be forgotten and the fans of this music will love this book and how Blotzer has accounted the period in this fascinating book.

Filled with personal photos and many never seen before black and white images this Autobiography charts the highs and lows of Bobby Blotzer and his life after the demise of Ratt to showcase the life of the RATT Drummer with his personal life and jobs after Ratt right through to the band reforming and the various band members in the band since the famous original line -up. Also Blotzer's relationships with these band members and also Insight into the life of Robbin 'king' Crosby ( R.I.P )which is a fascinating chapter and which many Fans of the Guitarist will cherish in his memory.

It is great that the Blotz has written this Autobiography and for fans of Ratt 'N' Roll and the music of Ratt will always live on. A great book and also a Great Drummer, Tales of a Ratt , things you shouldn't know.......maybe it should be titled things you SHOULD know as this is essential and compulsive reading into the metal scene of the period and their tours and other rock legends of the Era.

A facinating Read that any Ratt fan should Buy and cherish.Buy this for sure and you will NOT be disapointed. FIVE ***** STAR's for the Blotz !!

4.0 out of 5 stars Way better than Stephen Pearcy's book!, 13 Feb 2014
No idea why the reviews of this book are so bad when it's such a good read. I've literally read countless Rock star autobiographies in my time and this one is right up there with some of the best, and waaaaaay better then Stephen Pearcy's book which I found really disappointing.
Highly recommended.
