This box-set contains two double-sided discs, each holding one film on each side.
I enjoyed all four of these short British movies, (each averaging 60-65 minutes), but it's a shame that little, if any, work has been done to restore each print. "The Pursuers" is probably the best quality, but "Return of a Stranger" and "Strip Tease Murder" are more VHS-quality than DVD. And "Night Train for Inverness", I would say, is even a little below VHS quality. You'll spot scratches in places in all four films and, in "Return of a Stranger", some less than seamless editing!
But overall I'm glad to have seen these little bits of cinematic history. I'm particularly fascinated by the cars of this era, and even more so by the largely empty roads of the period - if only it were they were like that now......

Nothing to set your world on fire, but if you like old style Brit crime movies, you will be happy enough.

FOUR different stories each with a story to tell. Night Train for Inverness, You might spot a very young Dennis Waterman in this one, he is one of the main characters. All about a father who just out of prison wants to see his son, the mother wants him to but the mother in law is desperately doing all she can to try to stop him, so the father hatches a PLAN TO TAKE HIM AWAY, AS THE TITLE SUGGESTS Scotland's THE ONLY WAY TO. I'll LEAVE YOU TO FIND THE TWIST IN THE TALE. recommended TO FRIENDS WHO'VE SEE IT WITH ME. each OF THE FOLLOWING STORIES ARE REAL CLASSICS WHICH EACH HAVE A REAL SENSE OF THE TIME PERIOD THEY WERE SET IN,
NIGHT TRAIN TO INVERNESS, STRIP TEASE MURDER, THE PURSUERS, RETURN OF A STRANGER. JUST THE NAMES CONJURE UP THAT MURDEROUS FEELING.[

Just as I hopes it would be, DVD in perfect condition, and the programs very enjoyable to watch. Very happy
