SEGA Mega Drive Ultimate Collection - Classics (Xbox 360)

I still remember the day my parents bought a sega mega drive, hours of fun and soo many good games. When i saw this and its games list including the likes of Golden axe and streets of rage i knew i had to get this. There are a lot of games in this collection and so it will keep you entertained for ages. Most of the classics are fun to play again even when you finish it. They may be old games but they are still great to play, and have good nostalgia value.
The gameplay is smooth and you can earn achievements, though not in all games. One massive bonus is the save game function, no more sitting all day trying to complete a game getting to the last boss and your mum turning the console off for dinner and you losing all your work.
As for graphics these are old games so don't expect miracles. They do seem a little better than the original games, i have HD and i can't see that much of an improvement when i play on non HD. At the end of the day these weren't made for the graphics they were made to be fun and playable, and they still are.
Overall i think it is well worth the money and gives hours of fun. There are a few flaws hence only four stars, the achievements could have been better and why is there no online mode!! You can't beat the price though.

Brought back loads of childhood memories :-) me and the fella have played for hours. And we have now even got the kids playing and they love it too.

For anyone who grew up in the 80s & 90s, Sonic was THE thing. This compilation encases all of the Sonic games, including Sonic Spinball & some other 'spin-off' games. It also features the likes of Ecco the Dolphin, Flicky, Columns, Bonanza Brothers, Alex Kidd & many, many more. If you're a bit of an achievement hunter, the majority of these are fairly easy to get & include achievements such as 'Get Rich - Alex Kidd: Collect 1,000 in currency', 'Getting Chicks - Flicky: Collect 80,000 points' & 'Critique - View all artwork' This is a great buy, although it may make you feel old!!!

Like so many of us, I had a sega when I was a kid and games like Sonic, Golden Axe, Alien Storm and Echo the Dolphin were highly entertaining. I think my favourite had to be Sonic though!

As technology changes so rapidly and games get discontinued, I really missed these and was so amazed to find the Xbox 360 version and it doesn't disappoint - this has got all the old games we knew and loved and they aren't shortened versions - you get them from start to finish on one brilliant disc of fun packed nostalgia!

If you are a fan of the old games, but in doubt about purchasing this, don't be - it really is highly recommended!

Classic, and an absolute must for those of us who can never find the easier games like kid chamelion and sonic the hedghog. I know, as sad as I am, the only way I find I can wind down is to either tolerate eastenders or play a level of two of these classics. A brilliant find and a very good price to boot.

This game was a really good buy. It contains a good variety of games from the SEGA Mega Drive, which are probably more fun to play for people who were once Mega Drive fans. The game itself is easy to operate. There is also a save game feature!! Which is a fantastic addition as this was not possible on the original console.

The delivery and packaging was also top notch, and the price makes it a good deal. Even if they are old games this deal still makes the game worth while!

A brilliant nostalgic collection of old school sega games, particular highlights are the streets of rage games and golden axe. The graphics take you back to your childhood with a whole load of glee!

Although some of the games are still as rubbish as you remember (damn you ecco the dolphin!)

The selection of games met both myself and my fiance's tastes. Brought back many memories, but we have noticed how slow we have become - with age. Had fun educating our teenage nephew in 'proper' gaming. To our surprise he enjoyed playing them. Lesson learn't games don't need fantastic graphics.
