I love Baldacci, am a huge fan, and this is a good read...but be warned... when it says 'short story' it is not kidding. Not long enough to justify the price tag I'm afraid. It would take up about one chapter of any other book.

I have read most of Baldacci's books including all but the latest of the Camel Club series. No wonder the Kindle price for this book was only 99p, as it is only 10 pages long which I calculate is 10p per page. What are you doing Amazon? This is at best sharp practice and at worst a blatant rip off of your customers? The product description says the print version is 400 pages, which means it must be one word per page! The cover of the Kindle edition says 'Short Reads'. I think you need to change it to 'The Shortest read ever!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!'

I hadn't realised that this was a short story, but short it most certainly was. I also thought that the plot was very predictable and had guessed the ending very quickly. Not his best work at all.

Oh how I wish I read the other reviews first. Short it most certainly was and not worth the time or effort of any critical review and with no link whatever to The Camel Club. Product description stated 400 pages more like 50.

This story was so short I am surprised that Amazon charged us for it at all. Hope they give those of us gullible enough to actually believe this was another of the Camel Club stories, a discount on his new book, out this summer.
Took me all of 15 minutes to read this!!!

I started to read this one evening - expecting, as the product page suggested, a 400 page sized Baldacci thriller.
I was very quickly taken by the story and then realised I had come to the end. I supposed that I had made an error turning the pages some how and went back to the beginning. As I turned the pages I watched the percentage count rapidly rise and accepted I had made no mistake. I am not criticising the quality of the writing - which was good - but the quality of the product description. This was NOT a 400 page novel!!

I have enjoyed all of the other David Baldacci books I've read particularly the Camel club series so bought this without delving into the reviews. This isn't the Camel club, is rediculously short and frankly not worth the money. Amazon you've messed up here.

Unfortunately I did not read the other reviews before I bought this, how I wish I had! You think you're on safe fround with Baldachi, and what was written was good. BUT! It was extremely short and I felt the story was left hanging, there were things that should have been explained that weren't. Almost daylight robbery in my veiw, I will be watching very carefully so I don't make the same mistake again! I only gave it one star because I couldn't give it none which is what I wanted to do!!

Short is an understatement. As Baldacci is one of my favourite authors and I have previously read most of the Camel Club books, this was the first book I read on my new kindle. As I was reading, I thought the percentage indicator was faulty as within minutes I was 90% through the book - turns out it was the book that was faulty!!!
I don't see what this book has to do with the Camel Club or what happened to the 400 pages quoted in the description. I feel like claiming a refund.

I'm a huge fan of this author but this book, if you can call it that, is rediculous. It's so short and made no sense that I actually paged backwards to see if I had accidently skipped a page at the end of each page! It's not worth 10p - I would seriously suggest a 'skip' on this one!!!!! PS It's not Camel Club!
