5.0 out of 5 stars Great product!
My husband has never allowed me to write, as he doesn't want me touching mens pens. However when I saw this product, I decided to buy it (using my pocket money) and so far it has been fabulous! Once I had learnt to write, the feminine colour and the grip size (which was more suited to my delicate little hands) has enabled me to vent thoughts about new recipe ideas, sewing...

1.0 out of 5 stars Insufficent
Normally I only use pens designed and created for real men, in colours appropriate to such instruments of masculinity - black like my chest hair or blue like the steely glint of my eyes, or the metallic paintwork of my convertible Mustang sportscar. Imagine then the situation I found myself in when, upon taking delivery of another shipment of motorbike parts and...

1.0 out of 5 stars If only..., 28 Aug 2012
This review is from: BIC For Her Medium Ballpoint Pen (Box of 12) - Black (Office Product)
I have asked my husband if I am allowed these, he says that my weekly allowance for lady things is sufficent, and that "if there is any writing to be done I will do it thank you"

I realised of course that he is right as in all things, and this is an unobtainable dream and I will stick to my pink crayons.

3.0 out of 5 stars Crisis point..., 23 Feb 2013
This review is from: BIC For Her Medium Ballpoint Pen (Box of 12) - Black (Office Product)
Oh Bic, these are no good at all!

After finishing all the housework I decided I would get on with writing my PhD. I realise that, as a woman I really shouldn't be doing such a thing but I have been cursed with a desire to do all kinds of manly things - I can even ride a bicycle! - and, as an experiment a kindly professor has let me have a go. Anyway after I finally managed to get the box open, giving myself a cardboard cut in the process, I began to write. But I couldn't focus on the history of Latin books because the pen was just so pretty and filled my brain with thoughts of cremello ponies and butterflies and baking. I filled a whole page with doodles and pictures and wrote a lovely story about a little pony who made friends with a rabbit. The rabbit was wearing a little jacket just little Peter in the books by Beatrix Potter (I have them on tape as they are too long for me!).

Now I'm really confused and don't know what to do. I had thought I should embrace the female emancipation of the twentieth century but now I've forgotten what emancipation means and have a vague feeling that Emily Pankhurst was a very naughty little girl.

I need a nice gentleman to help me understand all this confusion and craziness. I must go now as I've just realised that my biological clock is ticking - how could I not have heard it before??? Oh my! Help me, please!

1.0 out of 5 stars The Decay of Traditional Values, 29 Aug 2012
This review is from: BIC For Her Medium Ballpoint Pen (Box of 12) - Black (Office Product)
An outrage-- who deemed it necessary for women to write things? It's bad enough when women get their claws on men-pens-- but at least they're harpy claws can't adequately grasp the "For Him" shape. These "For Her" pens are promising a generation of incorrigible Friedanites-- a real danger to this already threatened international climate. Surely, pens "For Her" are harbingers of wild orgies, witchcraft, and, in due time, the feminist-wrought apocalypse. If women can write, they'll soon be writing employers memos asking for ridiculous things like "equal pay" or "reproductive rights." Nonsense and poppycock!

1.0 out of 5 stars Doesn't work very well, 18 Aug 2012
This review is from: BIC For Her Medium Ballpoint Pen (Box of 12) - Black (Office Product)
I tried these on a whim, and I have to say I wasn't very impressed. The applicator mechanism is far too fiddly, and the plastic tampon inside far too thin (not to mention uncomfortable and non-absorbant) - I'm sure there must be a knack to using them, but I couldn't find it. They also stained my knickers blue for some reason. I really wanted to like these, but it's back to pads for me.

2.0 out of 5 stars So confused - so very confused, 16 Aug 2012
This review is from: BIC For Her Medium Ballpoint Pen (Box of 12) - Black (Office Product)
I am a huge fan of the gender binary. Without it, it's very hard to work out who to oppress. I therefore decided to purchase some razors so I could remove a great deal of hair which was growing out of my body on places such as my shins. I thought this would make me look smooth like a baby, and vulnerable, and also different and deferent to men, so that they could feel I was complimenting and complementing them.
I knew that bic made razors, so I searched and found 'bic for her' - this seemed to solve my problem - I am on a low budget so was looking for cheap disposable razors - the slicing off of goosebumps seem mere collateral damage in my quest to appear feminine.
I saw these 'bic for her' with their pink box and was so relieved the cheap razors would not sully my bathroom with their orange glare - I was reluctant to run the risk of being misgendered by overnight guests.
And then they arrived and were pens.

I write things, but not often enough to require 12 pens. Seriously - the only feminine person I can think of who produces that many words is Barbara Cartland, and she lies on a chaise longue while someone else writes down her dictation in any case. How many thoughts do you think I have in my pretty pretty head, bic?

Even if I did have a moment of wisdom, I would feel ashamed, keep it secret and hope like hell it would pass before anyone noticed.

5.0 out of 5 stars I never knew I needed this so much, 16 Aug 2012
This review is from: BIC For Her Medium Ballpoint Pen (Box of 12) - Black (Office Product)
Oh. My. God. I've been doing it all wrong. There was me thinking I didn't need to worry about whether my writing implement sufficiently reflected my gender. Thank you so much Bic for showing me the error of my ways. Perhaps Bic will also bring out a new range of pink (or purple) feminine spanners, screwdrivers, electric drills and angle grinders so that I can carry out my job as a bicycle mechanic without further embarrassing myself? Luckily my male colleagues have managed to keep their disapproval of my use of their masculine tools to themselves. I'm so ashamed. And re-educated as to my place in society. Thanks again Bic!

1.0 out of 5 stars Be careful when transporting, 30 Aug 2012
This review is from: BIC For Her Medium Ballpoint Pen (Box of 12) - Black (Office Product)
Beware. I recently bought a pack of these pens to give as a gift to a female friend of mine living in America. I was on my way to see her during a car trip across the USA earlier this summer. Just a few days into my trip, traveling through a very small town, I was stopped for a routine traffic check. The officer noticed my package of BIC for Her Amber Medium Ballpoint Pens lying on my front passenger seat. I was immediately arrested and taken into custody. Apparently writing by females is still banned in some states in the US. I was detained overnight, but set free without charges the following morning. The pens, alas, were confiscated by the authorities. Although the pens themselves probably work fine, I feel a notice should have been included on the package warning people about transporting these pens across state lines.

1.0 out of 5 stars Hopeless, 18 Aug 2012

This review is from: BIC For Her Medium Ballpoint Pen (Box of 12) - Black (Office Product)
As a MILLIONAIRE AUTHOR of BESTSELLING TECHNO-THRILLERS, I have to say that I was very disappointed with this pen. Whenever I tried to write punchy, in-your-face prose about the nuclear payload capabilities of the B-2 Northrop-Grunmann stealth bomber, I found myself instead writing about shopping, cocktails and friendship. And when I tried to write the title 'OPERATION CRISIS POINT' at the top of the page, I found myself writing 'DIARY OF A THIRTYSOMETHING' instead. Is Jeremy Renner gonna want to star in the movie adaptation of that? IS HE HECK.

5.0 out of 5 stars Saved My Marriage, 27 Aug 2012
This review is from: BIC For Her Medium Ballpoint Pen (Box of 12) - Black (Office Product)
I allowed my wife to write the grocery list with one of my pens. Shortly thereafter she went out and bought a bunch of flannel shirts, cut the sleeves off and grew a mullet. While she was writing her feminist manifesto, I secretly switched out the man pen with a BiC For Her. She's now back to baking apple pies, vacuuming in heels, and popping bennies in order to keep her girlish figure... like a proper American gal.

Thank you BiC!
