Ravensburger have a long, established history selling jigsaws, so it was a big disappointment when I finished putting this one together.

The pieces didn't fit together very tightly, so I had to constantly move it around to get the pieces to fit together, just a millimetre here and there but it was for almost every piece from about half way.

Added to that, the grooves caused by the cutting are quite large and too much of the image disappears at the edges of the pieces, so it's not particularly beautiful as a finished jigsaw.

But the worst problem is that the pieces didn't want to lie flat. None of the pieces appear bent, but when put together there were little humps and bumps and the lifting of several pieces all over the jigsaw. It's probably related to the poor fitting as the final jigsaw, once smoothed by hand does lie flat. But, if you're spending several hours putting a jigsaw together that won't lie flat, then it's a nuisance that detracts greatly from experience.

I expected better from Ravensburger.

An excellent way to spend a wet day and a geography lesson as well. Kept my lot amused for ages

My son is very interested in flags and loves learning about other countries. This jigsaw helps him learn and is enjoyable.

Good quality puzzle with a good fit to the pieces, will last a long time even with children helping! I really enjoyed it and the flags at the bottom were really good fun - my nephew loved it as there are loads of clues! The sea is more tricky - but then you don't want it too easy do you!!

This puzzle is great. My son loved it with all the flag detail at the bottom. Some parts are quite tricky and looking at the box doesn't help much so it ended up being a family project that took us many hours !!

I enjoyed doing this immensely - I learnt so much about the sea, and its geography in particular. It was exactly what I wanted - an informative jigsaw to get my teeth into! (I needed my magnifying glass though)

I loved doing the jigsaw as the flags made it interesting. The sea was by far the most difficult bit. This would not suit a child under 12 because it requires a lot of patience. Overall a really good buy :)

Maybe i shouldnt have tried this jigsaw as the fisrt one since I was a child but I fancied doing something different of an evening and this was a great way to pass the time - and good fun!
At least there is an easy starting point with the border and the flags, then you can start on the colours for the countries. Obviously the hardest parts are the sea but if you have good enough eye sight to see the writting on the box then there are plenty of references.
All in all probably took about 7 hours and I would certainly recommend it

A lovely puzzle, the only down side was the writing under the flags is so small it's hard to read.
