5.0 out of 5 stars Wake - Up Call
Avril Lavigne has got staying power. She is still amongst us!
Her 2002 debut 'Let Go' was the kind of rumbustious bundle of
post-punk-pop which, however infectious, showed little promise of
a long shelf life for its bright and breezy teenage perpetrator.
Almost a decade later and Ms Lavigne has indeed endured and with
her fourth album,...

3.0 out of 5 stars on the verge of maturity, worth buying.
Avril Lavigne all grown up, well nearly anyway. As we get older we tend to want to keep a hold of the past, like a sort of comfort blanket, and I think this is the problem with this album. It is time for Lavigne to let go of the pop punk skate thing and embrace the more delicate, mature sound that is evident on some of the songs here, sure it's pop but its pop done...

5.0 out of 5 stars The best album by miles!!,
This review is from: Goodbye Lullaby (Audio CD)Last few albums have been good but this is great!... this is exactly what I've been waiting to hear from her and the wait was worth it, can't fault it 10/10
5.0 out of 5 stars goodbye lullaby rv,
This review is from: Goodbye Lullaby (Audio CD)This album is awesome! I love Avril and saw her in Hammersmith recently. The album shows (once again) that Avril really CAN sing, as well as write love songs. she is in touch with her emotions and they are expressed beautifully through both her words and her tone of voice. I think this album is a natural progression of her development as an artist. My favourites are Push, Wish you were here, Everbody hurts, Stop Standing there, For Real.
If you want an album where the songs are sung with a beautiful voice, and with real emotion, then you will not be disappointed.
5.0 out of 5 stars Must-buy,
This review is from: Goodbye Lullaby (Deluxe Edition) [+Video] (MP3 Download)Don't listen to negative comments. After listening to every song I must say they're all great.
It is a must-buy for every Avril fan and even fans of the genre.
4.0 out of 5 stars A Surprise,
This review is from: Goodbye Lullaby (Audio CD)I didn't want to get the album at first but as the price was going down I thought why not. Anyway I was really surprised to find that I really enjoyed the CD. The songs are all about love and are very similar but there are certainly pick-out songs that I keep listening to back to back. Avril's style of music has certainly changed but so has she, I still like her earlier ablums but Avril went through a journey and changed; this shows in her newest ablum Goodbye Lullaby.
5.0 out of 5 stars Amazing!,
5.0 out of 5 stars AVRIL'S ON TOP FORM,
What you get is the enthusiasm of her first album, the growing of the second album, the fun of her third and now the darkness, but maturity of avril as she is now. But don't let the word darkness put you off,it still has several fun rocking moments. Her singing really is at it's very best here,i'd forgotten just how well she can sing,i was really impressed by this.
I would certainly recommend getting this deluxe version, not only do you get the extra tracks (including a great cover of JOAN JETT'S "BAD REPUTATION"),but you also get a very good half hour DVD showing her excitement in making this album, and the love she clearly has for it.
Truely great stuff from a great singer with much left to offer. A thrill from Avril.
5.0 out of 5 stars I Smile Now!,
5.0 out of 5 stars Avril Lavigne,
This review is from: Goodbye Lullaby (Audio CD)Avril still stunning. Surely " The Best Damn Thing "" yet. Particularly like the stripped down versions when you really get to appreciate the unique vibrant voice she has.
