4.0 out of 5 stars Good Advice And Easy To Read
This is a good little book and I enjoyed reading it. The advice given is balanced and very responsible (putting the client first). It does NOT include any advice about the actual meanings of the cards, but then it doesn't claim to. Good practical advice for anyone wanting to take recreational tarot reading a little further.

As with any book purchase it's only natural to read the book's description before you purchase. The description for this book was excellent and hooked me in straight away, especially this part:

As with any book purchase it's only natural to read the book's description before you purchase. The description for this book was excellent and hooked me in straight away, especially this part:

"This book includes a system for learning the tarot once and for all. It requires a little work on your part, but afterward, you will never be at a loss for the meaning of the cards during a reading, again.

With the information in "How to Read the Tarot for Fun, Profit and Psychic Development for Beginners and Advanced Readers," you will:

Never need to purchase any more useless tarot manuals.
Learn how to use the tarot to make money
Discover how to amaze yourself and others with your psychic abilities
Learn how to use the tarot to develop your ESP permanently, not just when you're sitting with a client."

After reading the whole book and not being a newbie to psychic development I can confidently say that the above statement is definitely not true.

The book gave little away and mainly rambled on about how great the Thoth Cards by Aleister Crowley are. That's all well and good but totally off topic to the product description. The author then goes on to suggest asking you clients date of birth so that you can basically wing a reading to look impressive.

If you're looking for a "how-to" book then you will not find it here. For me, I didn't find even one little nugget of information that raised an eyebrow. The author clearly got bored with writing the book about half way through, padded it out with waffle and finished it abruptly leaving the reader non the wiser and adding little to their knowledge.

There are far better books on the subject!
