So the "lead" character of Gil Grissom has gone and Ray Langston played by Laurence Fishburne has taken more of a prominent role but essentially CSI is still much the same in this tenth season with the Las Vegas crew.

Mostly it's murder of the week stuff - some clever, some amusing, a few that are completely absurd but all very stylish. There are a couple of good season long story archs bubbling away in the background as we start to learn more about Langstons back story and the team hunt a reoccurring serial killer named Dr Jekyll.

Jorja Fox appears in about two thirds of the episodes in "guest appearances" as Sara Sidle and the rest of the crew are all present and correct. There's a good little crossover with the CSI Miami and New York crews also and this box set thankfully includes the crossover episodes from the other series.

Overall its still good fun stuff, recommended.

Another great season to collect.

I was a little concerned when Grissom left, but Ray Langston has proved to be a great replacement. Characters like Gregg and Nick have been allowed to fill out a little more as well as the guys in the Lab.

At this ridiculous price for approx 20 hours of great viewing you HAVE to buy this. It is even delivered direct to your door in immaculate condition in just two short days!

BUY THIS NOW!!!!!

From the very first season of this ground breaking show it was clear that we were in for something great. And now, twelve seasons later CSI is still going as strong as ever. Even though i was sad to see Grissom go, Laurance Fishburne makes a worthy succesor to his role and he fits in with the rest of the team easily. This tenth season is just as interesting, exciting, addictive and engrossing as its predecessors and it's impossible not to become attached to the CSI team. Almost all of the episodes are excellent, and the writing is still very good, though it would be nice to have more of a focus on the forensics which does seem to be slipping slightly (this is particuarily evident in season 11, though does not really mar it). Stand out storylines this season include the Dr Jekyll cases which run through much of this season (began in season 9). If you are looking for a series to become very much addicted to, then look no further, CSI has everything a good TV show should: interesting plot lines, engaging characters and enough excitement, explosions, action and evidence gathering to please even the most ardent of viewers.
As a bonus to keen fans there are some quality special features that include interviews and making ofs as well as some good commentarys if people are interested in hearing the actors and writers talk about particualr episodes.

Haven't actually watched this yet as I am still on Season 9, but I love CSI Las Vegas so even without seeing it I would recommend it.

The loss of Grissom was handled well considering it was such a huge loss, compounding the earlier loss of Warrick. Laurence Fishburne filled the void admirably. He's a good actor and I looked forward to watching him develop his character, mixing and blending with the others in the show. BUT, I've heard that Fishburne is leaving CSI Las Vegas?!? Don't know why, or when, but it seems soon. The replacement mentioned on a 'behind Hollywood' type show was shockingly horrifying. Ted Danson - he of 'Cheers' and '3 Men and a Baby'!!?? Surely not?!
CSI are a fantastic show. (Apart from Miami where the characters seem weak and very one dimensional.) Las Vegas and New York are worlds better, with characters you want to watch and know more about. But... TED DANSON?... in Las Vegas? Laurence Fishburne after William Petersen I can cope with, and want to watch. I don't think such a shocking replacment will work. 'Leaving Las Vegas' is inevitable if what was broadcasted is going to be true.
I'm scouting out CSI Las Vegas 11, I need my CSI-fix. Fishburne is believable and his character solid, totally watchable. That his charaters genetic make-up leans toward the serial-killer ilk is a good twist, almost 'Dexter-ish', and could make some gripping storylines. Series 11 & 12 maybe the last I'll be able to watch. Please, pleeeeeeeeease keep Fishburne!!!!!!
