Using this product with an android phone. Copying files (music/ photo) from pc over to the memory card appears to work fine, until you look on the phone to find that 80% of the files haven't copied after all. Frustrating after the 1st time; infuriating after the 2nd; $^&^&!&"£ after the 3rd, particularly when, by that stage, you've resorted to copying small batches of files at a time, rather than copying them all in one batch.... plugging the card directly into the pc (rather than copying to it whilst in situ in the phone) makes no difference, i.e. it's the card, not the phone. Also doesn't accept file downloads over wifi/ 3G/4G, so podcasts, email attachments don't run. reformatted the card, started from scratch; same problems. have had kingston SD (not micro SD) cards before, with no problems. Didn't believe that this kind of device could be defective. Hope i've just been unlucky, but with no response from the marketplace seller, i'm unable to say whether replacement one has the same problem. Still, at least it fits...

Before buying this item I spent a good two hours looking for the cheapest and most trustworthy seller online. After watching several adapter and card packs on ebay and comparing about twenty shops on google shopping it appeared that no one would let this item go for less than amazon even when taking delivery charges into account. It arrived promptly and works perfectly. Save yourself some time and look no further than here. I've done the research for you. You're welcome.

I bought this for my Orange San Francisco smart phone, having read several reports of problems with different makes of micro-SD card. This worked exactly as designed and has given no problems in the month it has been installed.

I purchased this product in favour of the SanDisk microSDHC 16GB Card purely because it happened to go up in price as I was about to purchase it. I do not regret my decision.

As you know, Kingston is a very reputable brand which has been in the memory business for many years and as such know exactly what they're doing.

My package arrived in two days using Royal Mail 2nd Class shipping and was surprised by the improvements in packaging. It came in a small, cardboard envelope with no bulky shrinkwrap. Good riddance to it, I say.

The card itself is in a small protective case, along with a microSD -> SD adapter, an unexpected but appreciated addition. (See customer images)

It was immediately recognised and formatted by my BlackBerry Curve 8520 with a usable capacity of 14.8GB. (See customer images)

It took 27m 59s to copy my 10.8GB worth of media to the card. This averages out at around 6.43MB/s write speed, which is amazing considering the card itself is smaller than my thumbnail.

I am very impressed with this card and indeed the seller. Would buy again and recommend to all!

I chose this one over others because of the Brand Name... having read quite a lot of really impressive online reviews about it.
I have also read of similar priced ones that suddenly stop working after a while, and who wants to take that chance?

Bought this for my Cookie 500 mobile and I'm very happy with it... will be buying more for my Camera and Picture frame soon, so yes, I would highly recommend this particular item over other similarly priced ones... plus, buying here saves you a good bit compared to high street prices, and delivery was quick even with Postal Strike problems!

Buy this item with confidence - The Online reviews are not wrong :-)

This product is advertised as Class 4. It will do these speeds, unlike what some people have commented, but only after about 10 seconds. Before then and it seems to be Class 2.

I have had this product for a month and the Kingston Class 4 16gb Micro SDHC card has been working perfectly with my Samsung Galaxy S.

This is a fairly attractive low cost micro SD card, you do get a bundled adapter so you can also use it as a normal SD card if you wish.

Class 4 cards are not hugely fast but need to have a min write speed of 4MB/s, testing the Kingston I got just over 5MB/s write speed and about 17MB/s read speed (results may vary depending on card reader) That's about in line with the requirements.

It's not a card I would suggest if you are doing HD video recording either on cameras or camcorders. But for normal day to day use, tablets and mobile phones it's good enough for those uses. I've a few of these around and I can say I've not had any issues with Kingston cards to date, they have been reliable enough.

Folks looking for more speed should look at the class 10 cards, like the Sandisk which is quite a bit quicker, but does cost more

If you don't need a super fast card and just want decent storage capacity, then this card offers excellent value.

Does what it should at a very reasonable price!

Two minor probs experienced:-

1. Getting the card out of its plastic adaptor storage/transportation case (not the retail packaging!).... The clasp on the case makes it nigh-on impossible to get into and I had to resort to using a knife blade to prise it open!

2. The micro card itself sits flush in its sd adaptor which makes it difficult to pull it out, so could do with a small ridge or indentation on its upper edge in order to be able to easily remove it from the adaptor, or out of slots on equipment that aren't spring-loaded (e.g. Blackberry Storm!)

Other than that, very happy! And of course, despite ordering with a super-saver delivery and expecting a 14 day delivery period, with Amazon's inimitable efficiency, the card arrived within 2 days!

Tim.

I received this ahead of the due to deliver date.

I ordered two on the Monday and received them on the Thursday.
According to the paperwork, I was order 99 of 100!

The goods are excellent and fast working.

I used the first one in a Blackberry curve mobile and that showed a big increase in speed, the second in my Nokia 113 phone with same speeding up.

So I can only say THEY ARE BRILLIANT!

If you need one for your mobile, go for it.

It only goes to show that Amazon offers good quality along with very keen prices.

I mean to say, 2 X 8 GB media cards for under £6.00 delivered!

WOW.

Victor of London.

I am not rating the seller, only this product. You really do need to test the product soon after buying it. I kept this product unopened as it was to form part of a present (an advent vega tablet which sold out before I could get one), so it was 3 months before I then opened the package and copied a few photos to it. Then kept it to one side until I copied some more this weekend. when I wanted to see what was on the card, there was nothing and in fact it said it needed formatting, which, after several times trying, I decided I could replace the photos anyway and eventually tried to do. The window popped up which said it was 8GB and not 32GB and then said it could not be formatted either. In properties it had 0 bytes used 0bytes free so it was a ~Dud~ and probably a fake. So - check it by copying some files across and see if it works, and check capacity is what it says it is!
