Great sound, poor build quality,
By
This review is from: Beats by Dr Dre iBeats In-Ear Headphones from Monster - Black (Electronics)
I eventually settled on these after about a fortnight of reading reviews of various headphones all over the internetWhen they arrived i was extremely happy as they look great and had awesome sound quality My happiness did not last as within a moth or two the inline control became dodgy and would occasionally cut out before giving up the ghost altogether Occasionally the connection to my ipod would be loose and sound would fade in either ear but a gentle jiggle would soon sort it out Now within 5 months the right bud has given up altogether rendering the headphones pretty much useless Considering their price and metal construction i was expecting these to last through at least my time at uni and i'm now pretty gutted they've broken already Now my only option is to try and send them back to monster but with the number of get out clauses they seem to have in their 2 year limited warranty i'm not exactly hopeful

Dissapointing,

After many years of buying cheap headphones every now and again when the previous pair broke, it was time to shell out and invest in a quality pair... Or so I thought. The sound from these headphones is fantastic, and they look awesome. However, the build quality is terrible. Within 2 months i had gone through 3 pairs of these, 1st time Left headphone stopped working, 2nd time Right headphone stopped working then 3rd time the control talk stopped working. I was thinking for £80 you would get a quality pair of headphones that would last a long time, but instead I got my money back. I don't listen to my music over normal level or anything else to have caused breakage, they just seem a poorly made product. I am now using a pair of Sennheiser CX 300 II Precision Noise Isolating Ear-canal Phones - Black and they are fantastic.

Got these for christmas. They're by miles, the best headphones ive owned and probably on the market (In ear headphones).Small but mighty: They're small, lightweight and very stylish and with the design, you can tell they're top-end headphones as they dont follow the usual black colour cable and parts. They have a red, durible cable with a good leaghth so even a giant could put them in his trouser pocket. The in-ear headphones are metal, glossy black with a red logo. With this, they stand out and look unique. It comes with a in-line control to adjust volume, skip/pause songs which works with ipods & iphones not forgetting the ipad. Outstanding sound: The sound is very clear, crisp and gives a all round top proformance with all music types. The sound quality and bass does not turn sloppy & distort when listened to at a high level, if all, the bass is just kicked up. The bass is deep and thumping and doesnt have that fourced on effect like many headphones do where you hear bass where it souldn't be and/or deeper than usual. The bass is clear and natural. And the bass doesn't distort which is rare to come across espically for headphones under 100 GBP. At the end of the day. These headphones are top notch and are great for the price although they are pricey but you get what you pay for and some with these headphones. The sound quality is everything you could want in terms of a great music experiance. The bass is awesome and natural. The design is better than any other headphones out there and you also get a load of headphone buds for that perfect fit plus a stylish pocket size carry case to carry your buds & headphones in. BEWARE! DO NOT! Buy from a 3rd party/untrusted sellers. Chances are, they're fakes or faulty. Only buy directly from Amazon or a well known retailer. Hope this review helps you make the right decision. Thanks!

Not as good as it sounds,
By
This review is from: Beats by Dr Dre iBeats In-Ear Headphones from Monster - Black (Electronics)
Despite the sound and noise isolation being very good (although I've read comparison reviews stating the Sennheiser has better sound), they are quite heavy and the ear-buds can easily dislodge from the right position. The play button on the remote is slightly extruded making it very easy to be activated by accident. The biggest problem I had was with the remote acting up only 2 weeks after I bought these. They kept lowering the volume by itself without any buttons being pressed. Occasionally, I would pause play, put the iPod on my desk and when I would get it back, play had been resumed and podcast or album finished. I ended up returning it for a full refund.

Beat headphones are definitely the best headphones you can buy , i am very satisfied with my purchase. The headphones emit great sound and bass , also limitting the sound from the outside , if you are looking for a good pair of headphones i would recommend these.

You effectively buy great sound quality for a week only, terrible build quality,

I obtained a pair of these earphones recently and have to say the sound quality was great - though expected at such a price and considering they're noise isolating I expected no less from the bass. However, within a week the shoddy build quality was really obvious, I have seen other people complaining about the build quality of the earphone pieces themselves, however for me the 3.5mm connector simply disconnected from the wire when taken out of my laptop - not something you'd hope for from a supposedly high quality pair of headphones. If you buy these, you'll think they're amazing at first (hence every 5* review on here) - then you realise you've effectively paid £80 for a week's worth of listening as they're broken before you know it. I'll contact monster support, I'd hope for at least a repair but considering the amount of problems these have had, I'd be surprised if they're still bothering.

This product is very poorly made ive had 2 pairs and both pairs have broke within a few months the sound cuts out, paint chips but on the other hand the sound when they do work is amazing a great pair of earphones ruined by poor build quality.

Broke in 4 months,

The sound quality was excellent but the build was awful. The right earbud stopped working after four months regular use and the inbuilt controls often turned on my ipod in my bag draining the battery. Wouldn't recommend.

I bought this on my way out at the airport and thought they would be much better than my other headphones. I own the Monster Beats solo HD which are just awesome and have a superior sound. These headphones are awful though. Sound is very poor, not enough bass, on some songs even a tinny sound, cable gets tangled very quickly (which i did not expect. I thought all Dre products have the patented tangle free cable), and the remote and mic started working within a week. I can still hear the music but not use it with my iphone as a handsfree or take phone calls/forward music. Useless. Unfortunately Monster support is awful. Did not reply to emails repeatedly and then its just a voicemail system which takes your message for a return. I would not recommend it to anybody for that price. These arent better than £20 headphones. If you want a dre product, go for the higher end Monster Beats by Dr. Dre Solo HD with ControlTalk Headphones - Black or the Monster Cable Beats by Dr. Dre Tour Multilingual ControlTalk In-Ear Headphones. At least they have good sound AND a tangle free cable.
