Messy and not easy to get it into tight spaces - try WD40 instead
on 23 October 2014
I bought this in preference to WD40 as the instructions on my new composite door said use a graphite lubricant on the lock.
The problems with it are
1)It's black (no surprise there then) and very fine so it gets everywhere and
2) the nozzle won't reach far enough to go into the lock, and there's no supplied tube extension like you get with WD40 to get it into remote corners. And you can't actually fit your WD40 plastic tube onto it as the nozzle is a weird conical shape.
So in essence, you can't direct this lubricant exactly where you want it, and when it gets where you don't particularly want it, it takes a lot of cleaning off.
I'll stick to WD40 in future.
