The CD is fine, came well packaged and promptly, immaculate condition. Didn't have the music I wanted on it but not the fault of the CD. I'd put in the words 'Safety Dance' as I wanted Men without Hats but unfortunately got Chris Montez with Dance Dance Dance, but never mind. Have added to my collection.

The opening track by Michael Zager Band: "Let's All Chant" is exactly what is needed in this compilation and to close the compilation and to bring in any New Year's Party with the (emotionally charged) ever popular "Auld Lang Syne" Robert Burns poem and which was popularised by Canadian Guy Lombardo from 1929 onwards on New Year's Celebrations & it's traditional use being to celebrate the start of the New Year at the stroke of midnight. I came across this New Year's Eve Party compilation just before this Christmas and saw it on special offer at HMV after Christmas & Boxing Day!

The compilation has some great songs on it. However, at Track 7: "Pop Musik" by M on my CD has a glitch - which spoils the song! I am not sure, if this glitch comes out on other CD copies? Apart from this criticism, some great song selections with some live version and new remix versions of songs like "Can't take my eyes of you" originally sang by Frankie Valli in 1967 and here Andy William's version of 1968, dated 2001! The tracks "Celebration": Kool and the Gang, 1980; "Let's dance": Chris Montez, 1962; "Let's Twist again" originally sang by Chubby Checker in 1961 & this version dated 1976; "Swing the Mood" by Jive Bunny hit the UK charts in 1989 & this version is dated 1991.

In short, this collection deserves 4 stars out of 5. As the song at Track 2, says: "That's the way (I like it)"! Well worth buying and I bought it just before this Christmas and saw it on special offer at HMV after Christmas & Boxing Day!
