5.0 out of 5 stars Autoleads cables are brilliant!, 4 Nov 2013
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
This review is from: Autoleads PC9-404 Car Audio Active Adaptor Lead - Audi (Automotive)
Used for AUDI A4 TDI 2003 model and was very simple to fit, just plug into standard wiring and then plug into your after market set, you will need a plastic facia plate adaptor which the after market set sits in and can be found on here, and also a aerial adaptor which autoleads also supply and can be found on here too, aerial adaptor is because these cars have a powered aerial.

Great job autoleads recommend to anyone fitting after market set.

5.0 out of 5 stars perfect for non-bose systems being replaced with an aftermarket headunit with rca pre-out., 11 May 2014
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
This review is from: Autoleads PC9-404 Car Audio Active Adaptor Lead - Audi (Automotive)
The only part of this adapter kit you will actually need is the part with the rca adapter for the rear speakers. The other part is simply an iso extension cable as it is wired straight through with no crossovers. As for the rear speaker adapter part there is a blue and white wire you will need to connect to the remote wire of your new headunit (should be the same colour) (this gives the remote signal to turn on the separate amplifier for the rear speakers, without it they wont work). If you are struggling to find or don't have a remote output on your headunit you can connect this wire to either the remote aerial or probably preferably the switched live that powers on the headunit. The remote connection comes with a male bullet connector and an insulated sleeve already fitted (although I cut this off and used an insulated crimp to connect to my headunit). It is also important to note that you will probably have to swap your switched and permanent lives for your new aftermarket headunit so it powers on/off correctly and remembers all settings and although this adapter does not provide this facility (which is why I feel the other part is absolutely useless) your new headunit should have red and yellow wires with bullet connectors that you simply unplug and plug in opposite i.e. red to yellow and yellow to red.
