5.0 out of 5 stars Sets the standard, 13 Dec 2008
This was the first book I read on PL/SQL when I became an Oracle developer 15 years ago and as far as I'm concerned, Steven Feuerstein sets the standard. It never ceases to amaze me the sloppy coding that I come across by so called professional developers. If only they read this book then they would be in a different league. in short, every Oracle developer must read this book.

5.0 out of 5 stars A great book, 22 Jun 2009

I've bought this book a few years ago along with the "Oracle Database 10g PL/SQL programming" from Scott Urman, Ron Hardman and Michael Mclaughlin. Comparing these two books, the one from O'Reilly is much more thorough and provides considerably more information about various 'gotchas' and problems related to the topic.

I don't say the other one is not good - I generally do recommend it as an introductory material, and then use the book from O'Reilly for a really thorough study. If you want to buy only one of them, buy this one!

5.0 out of 5 stars A solid reference book and guide to using PL/SQL, 11 Jan 2014

This review is from: Oracle PL/SQL Programming (Kindle Edition)
Certainly seems to be one of the best books on this topic around. And the Kindle version could turn out to be much more convenient than the paper version.

5.0 out of 5 stars The most useful and clear, logical, intelligent guide, 28 Mar 2011
The most useful and clear, logical, intelligent guide one could imagine. These 2 guys are serious masters of their art! Buying anything else as the main/sole Oracle PL/SQL guide is unfortunately to my mind a complete waste of money.
