Well, after I ordered the wrong polar heart monitor initially I am delighted with this baby! I am a big fan of Nike + and recently invested £180 in the Nike+ GPS Watch which I'm also really pleased with. This monitor works with an Ipod, Nike+ Sportsband and most importantly to me.... the Nike+GPS Watch. All that is required to set it up is go into the Run Menu, Go to Options and select new sensor. The heart rate monitor is then discoverable as long as you are wearing it correctly having dampened the strap as shown in the manual. Jobs a good un! An hours running later, all the heart rate anlysis is uploaded and you can even set and analyse the desired zones of your heart rate! A great gadget.... but it really is more than this if you are a serious runner! Well done Nike, it's coming together slowly!

It works well with the new iPod Nano, but I have some problems using the wearlink and the Nano with the Nike remote control watch. I can skip and pause etc from the watch when I start out, but after a few minutes there is no longer any connection.

As a stand-alone HRM chest strap, this is a nice product. It's washable, comfortable and easy to adjust. It also syncs seamlessly with the Nike + Sportwatch...

then it all goes down hill.

The HRM output is shown on the nike+dashboard but thats IT...there's no training zones and the worst and most inexplicable omission of all is that the actual HRM plays NO PART WHAT SO EVER in the 'calories' burnt output reading. The nike watch estimates calories burnt , even WITH a HRM strap on a very basic, vague rough estimate based on nothing more than height and weight. This is all kinds of unbelievable as far as I'm concerned. For the exorbitant cost of the watch and 50 odd quid for the strap, I'd expect a little more than a just a beats per minute reading...

But it is a review of the strap, and the strap is fine. Unless you need to see a beats per minute reading of your run and NOTHING else, then go ahead and buy this strap....but to ignore HRM data in calculating calories burnt is pretty lazy and totally unforgivable for such expensive equipment.

The strap is 4.5 /5 no doubt, its great..but it's actual functionality is..well pretty much nothing really if you use it with a nike+ watch. you would be better off buying a polar watch to be able to get more of your HRM workouts....even the bare minimum more would be infinitely MORE functionality than paring it with the nike+ sportwatch.

I've been always using with satisfaction Polar Wearlink Transmitters with my polar cardio watches.
Since I like to listen to music with my I-POD while I run , when I saw this new product that integrate with NIKE+ I was immediatly interested.
It just works. At any moment I can have a voice feed-back telling what is the heart rate at that moment and then when connected to NIKE+ Web Site , I can see the history of all my "efforts" ...

Had no problem with this product. I link it to the Nike+ SportWatch GPS and there has been no issues to date.

I've used my monitor for a few months now and it syncs perfectly with my Nike+ GPS. One thing, make sure you wet the sensors before your workout and I disconnect the front part from the strap. Someone told me that this saves the battery life, but I have no idea whether it does.

This makes a great add on for the Nike+ GPS watch.

So easy to set up. Put the battery in and clip it to the strap and it works.

Using with the Nike+ sportband and it works well. I'm annoyed Nike did not give information that only this polar wear link works.

The treadmill also picks up the signal.

Very well made

This is useful when starting out a new fitness regime. Personal trainers and kept saying that I needed to be at a certain heart rate which I was not sure if I was achieving. This helps to monitor my Nike+ workout in terms of heat rate on a graph which is really useful motivator.

Purchased this for use with the Nike GPS watch, put it on, connected up and it worked.
I wasn't expecting it, but the TechnoGym equipment at my local gym also picks up the transmission.
Not really a lot more to say about it :)

Item is very comfortable and easy to use. I use it with my Nike-TomTom watch and have had no issues. It also links to Polar enabled machines which is a useful bonus if you run indoors.
