This review is from: At the BBC [7" VINYL] (Vinyl)
The last of six vinyl EPs released by Ace/Big Beat, under the supervision of Alec Palao. This one contains three previously issued tracks and a completely new one, the Four Tops' Loving You is Sweeter Than Ever. Actually, This Old Heart of Mine was previously issued on vinyl (Rhino and Razor labels respectively), but I think this is a different recording. The tracks prove, for those few who weren't convinced yet, that the group were great on stage, a very competent backing by Chris White on bass and Hugh Grundy on drums, with Paul Atkinson adding the necessary guitar licks, while Rod Argent and Colin Blunstone show their great workmanship.
For one reason or another this batch of three EPs (nrs. 006, 007 and 008) have to be played at 33 1/3 rpm, while the first batch was on 'ordinary' 45 rpm.
